Around 1310 [his father] Robert Clinton 1st Baron Clinton [aged 52] died. His succeeded son [his brother] John [aged 10] succeeded 2nd Baron Clinton.
Before 20th March 1319 John Hastings 2nd Baron Hastings 14th Baron Abergavenny [aged 32] and [his future wife] Juliana Leybourne Countess Huntingdon [aged 16] were married. She by marriage Baroness Hastings.
After 20th January 1325 Thomas Blount 1st Baron Blount [aged 62] and [his future wife] Juliana Leybourne Countess Huntingdon [aged 22] were married. The difference in their ages was 40 years.
On 1st May 1325 [his mother] Ida Odingsells Baroness Clinton [aged 60] died at Maxstoke Castle [Map].

Whereas we are sending our beloved and faithful servants Bartholomew de Burghersh [aged 40], constable of our castle of Dover, and William de Clinton [aged 23], to conduct the noble man William, Count of Hainaut and Zealand, and the noble maiden Philippa, his daughter, who are about to come shortly into our realm, and to lead them, together with the nobles and others of their company, to us, as has been more fully enjoined upon them by us:
We command you, and each of you, firmly enjoining that, together with the aforesaid Bartholomew and William, you meet the aforesaid Count and maiden and their household whenever and whenever you shall have been forewarned by the said Bartholomew and William, or by either of them;
And that you treat the said Count and maiden and their household honourably when they pass through the districts of your jurisdictions, and, so far as lies within you, cause them to be so treated by others; and that you be attentive, advising and assisting the said Bartholomew and William in the premises, as they shall make known to you on our behalf.

Before 24th February 1329 [his brother] John Clinton 2nd Baron Clinton [aged 29] and [his sister-in-law] Margery Corbet [aged 25] were married.
On 19th October 1330 John Neville 1299-1335, William Eland, William Bohun 1st Earl of Northampton [aged 20], William Clinton 1st Earl Huntingdon [aged 26] and William Montagu 1st Earl Salisbury [aged 29], friends of King Edward III of England [aged 17] secretly entered Nottingham Castle [Map] through tunnels, met with King Edward III of England, and arrested Roger Mortimer 1st Earl March [aged 43] and his son Geoffrey Mortimer [aged 21] in the presence of Isabella of France Queen Consort England [aged 35].
On 1st February 1335 [his brother] John Clinton 2nd Baron Clinton [aged 35] died. His succeeded son [his nephew] John [aged 8] succeeded 3rd Baron Clinton.
On 6th July 1336 [his step-daughter] Katherine Hastings Baroness Stafford [aged 32] died at Stafford, Staffordshire [Map].
On 16th March 1337 William Clinton 1st Earl Huntingdon [aged 33] was created 1st Earl Huntingdon. [his wife] Juliana Leybourne Countess Huntingdon [aged 34] by marriage Countess Huntingdon.
On 12th October 1339 [his step-son] Laurence Hastings 1st Earl Pembroke [aged 20] was created 1st Earl Pembroke. Agnes Mortimer Countess of Pembroke [aged 22] by marriage Countess Pembroke.
Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough
A canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: 'In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed.'

On 20th August 1348 [his step-son] Laurence Hastings 1st Earl Pembroke [aged 29] died at Abergavenny Castle [Map]. He was buried at Abergavenny Priory [Map]. His succeeded son John succeeded 2nd Earl Pembroke, 4th Baron Hastings, 15th Baron Abergavenny Feudal Creation.
On 31st October 1354 William Clinton 1st Earl Huntingdon [aged 50] died. Earl Huntingdon extinct.
In 1367 [his former wife] Juliana Leybourne Countess Huntingdon [aged 64] died.
Roger Herdeburgh and [his mother] Ida Odingsells Baroness Clinton were married.
[his illegitimate daughter] Elizabeth Clinton was born illegitimately to William Clinton 1st Earl Huntingdon. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.
