On 19th June 1676 Richard Head 1st Baronet [aged 67] was created 1st Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

On 18th September 1689 Richard Head 1st Baronet [aged 80] died. His grandson Francis [aged 19] succeeded 2nd Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

In August 1716 Francis Head 2nd Baronet [aged 46] died. His son Richard [aged 23] succeeded 3rd Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

In May 1721 Richard Head 3rd Baronet [aged 28] died unmarried. His brother Francis [aged 27] succeeded 4th Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

On 27th November 1768 Francis Head 4th Baronet [aged 74] died. His brother John [aged 66] succeeded 5th Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

On 4th December 1769 John Head 5th Baronet [aged 67] died. His second cousin once removed Edmund [aged 36] succeeded 6th Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

On 21st November 1796 Edmund Head 6th Baronet [aged 63] died. His son John [aged 23] succeeded 7th Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

The True Chronicles of Jean le Bel Volume 2 Chapters 61-109 1342-1361

The Chronicle of Jean le Bel, Volume 2 continues one of the most important fourteenth-century accounts of the early Hundred Years’ War. Written by the Liège chronicler Jean le Bel, this vivid narrative follows the fortunes of Edward III, Jean II of France, the Black Prince, the great nobles of France and England, and the soldiers, captains and companies who shaped the conflict. This volume covers some of the most dramatic events of the period, including the battles of Crécy and Poitiers, the siege and capture of Calais, the captivity of King John, the rise of the Jacquerie, the turmoil in Paris under Étienne Marcel and Charles of Navarre, the devastation caused by the free companies, Edward III’s great campaign of 1359–1360, and the negotiations leading to the Treaty of Brétigny. Jean le Bel’s chronicle is especially valuable for its lively detail, its interest in chivalry, warfare, politics and reputation, and its influence on later chroniclers, most famously Froissart. This English translation presents the text in clear, readable British English while preserving the force and character of the original narrative. The translation includes extensive notes to help the reader better understand Jean le Bel's text. Volume 2 also includes translated appendices drawn from royal and administrative records, many from the English Record Office, which illuminate Edward III’s campaigns in Brittany, the siege and occupation of Calais, naval preparations, military finance, appointments, safe conducts and related affairs.

On 27th November 1838 Edmund Walker Head 8th Baronet [aged 33] and Anna Maria Yorke Lady Head were married. She by marriage Lady Head of Hermitage in Kent.

On 28th January 1868 Edmund Walker Head 8th Baronet [aged 63] died without surviving male issue. Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent extinct.

On 14th July 1838 Francis Bond Head 1st Baronet [aged 45] was created 1st Baronet Head of Rochester in Kent. Julia Valenza Somerville Lady Head [aged 45] by marriage Lady Head of Rochester in Kent. His paternal grandmother Anna Gabriella Head was daughter of Francis Head, 4th Baronet of the 1676 creation of Baronet Head of Hermitage in Kent.

On 25th July 1875 Francis Bond Head 1st Baronet [aged 82] died. His son Francis [aged 58] succeeded 2nd Baronet Head of Rochester in Kent.

On 26th August 1887 Francis Somerville Head 2nd Baronet [aged 70] died. His son Robert [aged 42] succeeded 3rd Baronet Head of Rochester in Kent.

On 6th March 1907 Robert Garnet Head 3rd Baronet [aged 61] died. His son Robert [aged 22] succeeded 4th Baronet Head of Rochester in Kent.

On 21st June 1924 Robert Pollock Somerville Head 4th Baronet [aged 40] died. His son Francis [aged 7] succeeded 5th Baronet Head of Rochester in Kent.

On 11th February 1950 Francis David Somerville Head 5th Baronet [aged 33] and Susan Patricia Ramsay Lady Head [aged 23] were married. She by marriage Lady Head of Rochester in Kent.

On 16th December 2005 Francis David Somerville Head 5th Baronet [aged 89] died. His son Richard [aged 54] succeeded 6th Baronet Head of Rochester in Kent.
