After 1683 Philip Wenman 3rd Viscount Wenman [aged 73] obtained a new patent for Viscount Wenman of Tuam, since his only son had died childless, with remainder to his great-nephew, Richard Wenman 4th Viscount Wenman [aged 26].

In 1686 Philip Wenman 3rd Viscount Wenman [aged 76] died without male issue. His great nephew Richard [aged 29] succeeded 4th Viscount Wenman of Tuam.

In or before 1687 Richard Wenman 4th Viscount Wenman [aged 29] and Catherine Chamberlayne Countess Abingdon [aged 18] were married.

On 29th January 1688 [his son] Richard Wenman 5th Viscount Wenman was born to Richard Wenman 4th Viscount Wenman [aged 31] and [his wife] Catherine Chamberlayne Countess Abingdon [aged 20].

On 1st March 1690 Richard Wenman 4th Viscount Wenman [aged 33] died. His son Richard [aged 2] succeeded 5th Viscount Wenman of Tuam, 3rd Baronet Wenman of Caswell.
