Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

31st August 1661. 1st. Henry Ingoldsby 1st Baronet [aged 39] created.

March 1701. 2nd. Son George Ingoldsby 2nd Baronet succeeded.

1726. 3rd. Son William Ingoldsby 3rd Baronet [aged 56] succeeded.

25th April 1726. 3rd. William Ingoldsby 3rd Baronet extinct.

On 31st August 1661 Henry Ingoldsby 1st Baronet [aged 39] was created 1st Baronet Ingoldsby of Lethenborough in Buckinghamshire. Anne Waller Lady Ingoldsby [aged 32] by marriage Lady Ingoldsby of Lethenborough in Buckinghamshire.

In March 1701 Henry Ingoldsby 1st Baronet [aged 79] died. His son George succeeded 2nd Baronet Ingoldsby of Lethenborough in Buckinghamshire.

In or before 1726 George Ingoldsby 2nd Baronet died. His son William [aged 55] succeeded 3rd Baronet Ingoldsby of Lethenborough in Buckinghamshire.

On 25th April 1726 William Ingoldsby 3rd Baronet [aged 56] died. Baronet Ingoldsby of Lethenborough in Buckinghamshire extinct.
