Winifred, Duchess of Portland [aged 38], wearing the Portland Diamond Tiara, commissioned esppecially for the event, served as a canopy bearer to Queen Alexandra.
On 29th January 1906 [her father-in-law] King Christian IX of Denmark [aged 87] died. His son [her husband] Frederick [aged 62] succeeded VIII King of Denmark. Louise of Sweden Queen Consort Denmark [aged 54] by marriage Queen Consort Denmark.
On 4th April 1906 [her daughter] Louise Glücksburg [aged 31] died.
In 1912 George Holford [aged 51] and Susannah West Wilson [aged 47] were married at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace. King George VI of the United Kingdom [aged 16], Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England [aged 11], [her sister-in-law] Alexandra of Denmark Queen Consort England [aged 67] and Princess Victoria Windsor [aged 43] were present. The Times reported ... "The aisle was lined by non-commissioned officers of the bridegroom's old regiment the 1st Life Guards. The bride who was given away by her two sons, wore a gown of old Point d'Alençon lace with a train of gold brocade veiled in chiffon. Instead of a hat she wore a headdress of gold lace and pink roses and she carried a bouquet of orchids ... The King and Queen gave Sir George Holford a pair of sleeve links bearing the Royal monogram in diamonds and rubies."

On 22nd May 1919 [her son-in-law] Prince Axel of Denmark [aged 30] and Princess Ingeborg Glücksburg [aged 40] were married at Stockholm Cathedral. She the daughter of Frederick VIII King of Denmark and Louise of Sweden Queen Consort Denmark [aged 67]. They were first cousins. He a great x 4 grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland.
