In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

On 3rd December 1619 Edward Hartopp 1st Baronet [aged 47] was created 1st Baronet Hartopp of Freathby in Lincolnshire. Mary Dryden Lady Hartopp by marriage Lady Hartopp of Freathby in Lincolnshire.

Before 10th January 1655, the day he was buried, Edward Hartopp 1st Baronet [aged 83] died. His son Edward [aged 47] succeeded 2nd Baronet Hartopp of Freathby in Lincolnshire.

In 1658 Edward Hartopp 2nd Baronet [aged 50] died. His son John [aged 21] succeeded 3rd Baronet Hartopp of Freathby in Lincolnshire.

In 1722 John Hartopp 3rd Baronet [aged 85] died. His son John [aged 42] succeeded 4th Baronet Hartopp of Freathby in Lincolnshire.

In 1762 John Hartopp 4th Baronet [aged 82] died. Baronet Hartopp of Freathby in Lincolnshire extinct.
