[his mother] Dorothy Glynne Countess Castlemaine by marriage Countess Tylney of Castlemaine in County Kerry.
In 1761 John Tylney 2nd Earl Tylney [aged 48] was elected MP Malmesbury.
In February 1764 John Tylney 2nd Earl Tylney [aged 51] was in at Florence, Tuscany.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. In March 1780 [his father] Richard Child aka Tylney 1st Earl Tylney died at Aix en Provence. His son John [aged 67] succeeded 2nd Earl Tylney of Castlemaine in County Kerry, 2nd Viscount Castlemaine in County Kerry, 2nd Baron Newtown in County Donegal.
On 17th September 1784 John Tylney 2nd Earl Tylney [aged 71] died.
