Deeds of King Henry V

Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

In 1510 James Dyer was born.

Around 1520 Thomas Elyot [aged 30] and [his future wife] Margaret Barrow [aged 20] were married.

In 1546 James Dyer [aged 36] and Margaret Barrow [aged 46] were married.

In 1553 James Dyer [aged 43] was elected Speaker of the House of Commons.

On 9th April 1553 James Dyer [aged 43] was knighted at Whitehall Palace [Map].

In January 1559 James Dyer [aged 49] was appointed Chief Justice of the Common Pleas.

On 26th August 1560 [his wife] Margaret Barrow [aged 60] died.

On 24th March 1582 James Dyer [aged 72] died.
