Deeds of King Henry V

Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 25th August 383 Gratian Roman Emperor [aged 24] was killed at Lyon, France [Map].

On 15th January 1245 Archbishop Boniface Savoy [aged 38] was consecrated Archbishop of Canterbury at Lyon, France [Map] by Pope Innocent IV during the First Council of Lyon.

On 19th June 1536 François Valois [aged 23] and Jacqueline Rohan were married at Lyon, France [Map]. He the son of Louis Valois I Duke Longueville and Johanna Hochberg Duchess Longueville.

In 1606 Robert Dudley [aged 31] and Elizabeth Southwell [aged 22] were married at Lyon, France [Map]. Bigamous in his case since his second wife Alice Leigh 1st Duchess Dudley [aged 28] was alive. She the daughter of Robert Southwell and Elizabeth Howard Countess Carrick [aged 41]. He the illegitmate son of Robert Dudley 1st Earl of Leicester and Douglas Howard Baroness Sheffield [aged 64]. They were first cousin once removed.

On 26th June 1655 Edward Conway 2nd Viscount Conway [aged 60] died in Lyon, France [Map]. His son Edward [aged 32] succeeded 3rd Baron Conway of Ragley in Warwickshire.

On 31st August 1702 Louis Francois Roubiliac was born in Lyon, France [Map].
