There have been two creations of Baronet Newton:

1st. 2nd April 1620. Adam Newton 1st Baronet. Extinct. 22nd January 1701.

2nd. 16th August 1660. John Newton 1st Baronet. Extinct. 6th April 1743.

Baronet Newton aka Puckering of Charlton in Kent 1st Creation 1620

Summary

2nd April 1620. Adam Newton 1st Baronet [aged 40] created.

1630. Son William Newton 2nd Baronet succeeded.

March 1636. Brother Henry Newton aka Puckering 3rd Baronet [aged 17] succeeded.

22nd January 1701. Henry Newton aka Puckering 3rd Baronet extinct.

On 2nd April 1620 Adam Newton 1st Baronet [aged 40] was created 1st Baronet Newton aka Puckering of Charlton in Kent.

In 1630 Adam Newton 1st Baronet [aged 50] died. His son William succeeded 2nd Baronet Newton aka Puckering of Charlton in Kent.

Before March 1636 William Newton 2nd Baronet died unmarried. His brother Henry [aged 17] succeeded 3rd Baronet Newton aka Puckering of Charlton in Kent.

On 22nd January 1701 Henry Newton aka Puckering 3rd Baronet [aged 82] died without male issue. He was buried at St Mary's Church, Warwick [Map]. Baronet Newton aka Puckering of Charlton in Kent extinct.

Baronet Newton of Barrs Court 2nd Creation 1660

Summary

1661. John Newton 2nd Baronet [aged 34] succeeded.

31st August 1699. Son John Newton 3rd Baronet [aged 48] succeeded.

12th February 1734. Son Michael Newton 4th Baronet [aged 39] succeeded.

6th April 1743. Michael Newton 4th Baronet extinct.

In August 1660 King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland [aged 30] rewarded those who supported his Restoration by awarding them Baronetcies...

On 2nd August 1660 Hugh Smithson 1st Baronet [aged 62] was created 1st Baronet Smithson of Stanwick in Yorkshire.

On 10th August 1660 Peter Leicester 1st Baronet [aged 46] was created 1st Baronet Leicester of Tabley in Cheshire. Elizabeth Gerard Lady Leicester by marriage Lady Leicester of Tabley in Cheshire.

On 11th August 1660 William wheler 1st Baronet 1611 1666 [aged 49] was created 1st Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster with a special remainder failing the heirs male of his body, "to Charles Wheeler [aged 40] [rectius Wheler], cosin to the said Sir William and the heires males of the body of the said Sir Charles."

On 16th August 1660 Thomas Lee 1st Baronet [aged 25] was created 1st Baronet Lee of Hartwell in Buckinghamshire.

On 16th August 1660 John Newton 1st Baronet [aged 49] was created 1st Baronet Newton of Barrs Court.

On 16th August 1660 Thomas Smith 1st Baronet [aged 38] was created 1st Baronet Smith of Hatherton in Cheshire.

On 31st August 1660 John Drake 1st Baronet [aged 35] was created 1st Baronet Drake of Ashe in Devon. Dionise Strode Lady Drake by marriage Lady Drake of Ashe in Devon.

In 1661 John Newton 1st Baronet [aged 50] died. John Newton 2nd Baronet [aged 34] succeeded 2nd Baronet Newton of Barrs Court. It appears there is no genealogical connection between John Newton 1st Baronet and John Newton 2nd Baronet. The latter, apparently, paid a sum of money to inherit the Baronetcy.

On 31st August 1699 John Newton 2nd Baronet [aged 73] died. His son John [aged 48] succeeded 3rd Baronet Newton of Barrs Court. Susanna Wharton Lady Newton [aged 48] by marriage Lady Newton of Barrs Court.

Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

On 12th February 1734 John Newton 3rd Baronet [aged 83] died. He was buried at St Michael's Church, Heydour [Map]; his monument sculpted by John Michael Rysbrack [aged 39]. His son Michael [aged 39] succeeded 4th Baronet Newton of Barrs Court. Margaret Coningsby 2nd Countess Coningsby [aged 25] by marriage Lady Newton of Barrs Court.

John Newton 3rd Baronet: Around 1651 he was born to John Newton 2nd Baronet and Mary Eyre. Before 9th June 1680 he and Abigail Heveningham were married. On 23rd January 1691 he and Susanna Wharton Lady Newton were married. On 31st August 1699 John Newton 2nd Baronet died. His son John succeeded 3rd Baronet Newton of Barrs Court. Susanna Wharton Lady Newton by marriage Lady Newton of Barrs Court.

On 6th April 1743 Michael Newton 4th Baronet [aged 48] died. Baronet Newton of Barrs Court extinct. He was buried at St Michael's Church, Heydour [Map]. Sculpted by Peter Scheemakers [aged 52].
