On 19th June 1660 Basil Dixwell 1st Baronet [aged 20] was created 1st Baronet Dixwell of Broome House in Kent.

On 7th May 1668 Basil Dixwell 1st Baronet [aged 28] died. His son Basil [aged 3] succeeded 2nd Baronet Dixwell of Broome House in Kent.

In 1750 Basil Dixwell 2nd Baronet [aged 85] died. Baronet Dixwell of Broome House in Kent extinct. His nephew George Oxenden 5th Baronet [aged 55] inherited the Dixwell estate. As a condition of the inheritance he was required to take on the surname of Dixwell, but although he procured an Act of Parliament in 1751, to this effect, it is not clear if he took the surname on in practice.
