Before 1290 William "Hardy" Douglas 2nd Lord Douglas [aged 49] and Eleanor Louvain Baroness Douglas were married. She by marriage Lord Douglas.

On 17th August 1424 Archibald Douglas 2nd Duke Touraine [aged 34] succeeded 2nd Duke Touraine, 2nd Earl Wigtown, 5th Lord Douglas, 2nd Lord Annandale, 2nd Lord Galloway, 2nd Lord Bothwell.

On 26th June 1439 Archibald Douglas 2nd Duke Touraine [aged 49] died. His son William [aged 15] succeeded 3rd Duke Touraine, 3rd Earl Wigtown, 6th Lord Douglas, 3rd Lord Annandale, 3rd Lord Galloway, 3rd Lord Bothwell. Janet Lindsay Countess Wigtown [aged 12] by marriage Countess Wigtown.

William Douglas 1st Lord Douglas was created 1st Lord Douglas.

William Douglas 1st Lord Douglas and Margaret Kerdal were married. She by marriage Lord Douglas.

Lord Douglas Hawick

On 8th March 1640 William Douglas 1st Earl Queensberry [aged 58] died. His son James [aged 18] succeeded 2nd Earl Queensberry, 2nd Viscount Drumlanrig, 2nd Lord Douglas Hawick. Margaret Stewart Countess Queensberry by marriage Countess Queensberry.

On 23rd December 1810 Charles Douglas 6th Marquess Queensberry [aged 33] succeeded 6th Marquess Queensberry, 6th Earl Drumlanrig, 8th Lord Douglas Hawick.

On 19th December 1856 John Douglas 7th Marquess Queensberry [aged 77] died. His son Archibald [aged 38] succeeded 8th Marquess Queensberry, 10th Earl Queensberry, 9th Lord Douglas Hawick, 7th Lord Drumlanrig, 7th Baronet Kelhead. Caroline Clayton Marchioness Queensbury [aged 35] by marriage Marchioness Queensberry.
