Philip King Germany 1177-1208

9th June 1156 [his father] Frederick "Barbarossa" Hohenstaufen I Holy Roman Emperor [aged 34] and [his mother] Beatrice of Burgundy Holy Roman Empress [aged 11] were married. She by marriage Holy Roman Empress. The difference in their ages was 23 years. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Reginald Ivrea III Count Burgundy. He the son of Frederick "One Eyed" Hohenstaufen I Holy Roman Emperor and Judith Welf Holy Roman Empress. They were fourth cousins.

In August 1177 Philip King Germany was born to Frederick "Barbarossa" Hohenstaufen I Holy Roman Emperor [aged 55] and Beatrice of Burgundy Holy Roman Empress [aged 32].

On 15th November 1184 [his mother] Beatrice of Burgundy Holy Roman Empress [aged 39] died.

In 1186 [his brother] Henry Hohenstaufen VI Holy Roman Emperor [aged 20] and [his sister-in-law] Constance Queen Sicily [aged 31] were married. He the son of [his father] Frederick "Barbarossa" Hohenstaufen I Holy Roman Emperor [aged 64] and [his mother] Beatrice of Burgundy Holy Roman Empress. They were fourth cousins.

On 10th June 1190 [his father] Frederick "Barbarossa" Hohenstaufen I Holy Roman Emperor [aged 68] drowned in the Saleph River whilst on the journey of pilgrimage to Jerusalem. His son [his brother] Henry [aged 24] succeeded VI Holy Roman Emperor and King Italy.

In 1192 [his brother] Otto Hohenstaufen I Count Burgundy [aged 21] and [his sister-in-law] Margaret Blois were married. She the daughter of Theobald "Good" Blois V Count Blois and Alix Capet Countess Blois [aged 41]. He the son of [his father] Frederick "Barbarossa" Hohenstaufen I Holy Roman Emperor and [his mother] Beatrice of Burgundy Holy Roman Empress. They were third cousin once removed. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King William "Conqueror" I of England.

Annals of Konrad von Scheyern. 15th August 1196. Conrad, Duke of the Swabians [aged 24], launched an expedition against the Duke of Zähringen; during which, while attempting to deflower a girl by force, he was bitten on the left nipple, and a black swelling grew. Not wanting to be slowed by this, he died on the third day in Oppenheim, and was buried in Speyer. Philip [aged 19], his brother, succeeded him in the duchy.

On 28th September 1197 [his brother] Henry Hohenstaufen VI Holy Roman Emperor [aged 31] died.

In 1198 Philip King Germany [aged 20] was appointed King Germany.

On 13th January 1200 [his brother] Otto Hohenstaufen I Count Burgundy [aged 29] was murdered.

In May 1205 (possibly March) [his daughter] Elisabeth Hohenstaufen Queen Consort Castile Queen Consort Leon was born to Philip King Germany [aged 27] in Nuremburg. She married 30th November 1219 her fourth cousin Ferdinand III King Castile III King Leon, son of Alfonso IX King Leon and Berengaria Ivrea I Queen Castile, and had issue.

On 21st June 1208 Philip King Germany [aged 30] was killed.
