The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy

The Gesta Normannorum Ducum [The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy] is a landmark medieval chronicle tracing the rise and fall of the Norman dynasty from its early roots through the pivotal events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England. Originally penned in Latin by the monk William of Jumièges shortly before 1060 and later expanded at the behest of William the Conqueror, the work chronicles the deeds, politics, battles, and leadership of the Norman dukes, especially William’s own claim to the English throne. On 23rd April 1691 [his father] Thomas Parker 1st Earl Macclesfield [aged 24] and [his mother] Janet Carrier Countess Macclesfield [aged 30] were married.

Around 1696 George Parker 2nd Earl Macclesfield was born to [his father] Thomas Parker 1st Earl Macclesfield [aged 29] and [his mother] Janet Carrier Countess Macclesfield [aged 35].

Before August 1720 William Anson [aged 64] and [his aunt] Isabella Carrier were married by which he became the brother-in-law to her sister's husband [his father] Thomas Parker 1st Earl Macclesfield [aged 54].

In 1721 [his father] Thomas Parker 1st Earl Macclesfield [aged 54] was created 1st Earl Macclesfield.

In 1722 George Parker 2nd Earl Macclesfield [aged 26] was elected MP Wallingford.

In 1722 George Parker 2nd Earl Macclesfield [aged 26] was appointed Fellow of the Royal Society.

On 12th October 1723 [his son] Thomas Parker 3rd Earl Macclesfield was born to George Parker 2nd Earl Macclesfield [aged 27]. He married 1749 his first cousin Mary Heathcote Countess Macclesfield, daughter of William Heathcote 1st Baronet and Elizabeth Parker Lady Heathcote, and had issue.

On 6th September 1724 [his son] George Lane Parker was born to George Parker 2nd Earl Macclesfield [aged 28].

On 28th April 1732 [his father] Thomas Parker 1st Earl Macclesfield [aged 65] died at Soho Square [Map]. His son George [aged 36] succeeded 2nd Earl Macclesfield.

Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. In 1749 Thomas Parker 3rd Earl Macclesfield [aged 25] and Mary Heathcote Countess Macclesfield were married. He the son of George Parker 2nd Earl Macclesfield [aged 53]. They were first cousins.

On 17th March 1764 George Parker 2nd Earl Macclesfield [aged 68] died. His son Thomas [aged 40] succeeded 3rd Earl Macclesfield. Mary Heathcote Countess Macclesfield by marriage Countess Macclesfield.
