The King [aged 40] has been pleased to grant the Dignity of a Baronet of the Kingdom of Great Britain unto the following Gentlemen, and to their Heirs Male, viz.

The Right Honourable Richard Heron [aged 52], youngest Son of Robert Heron, of Newark upon Trent in the County of Nottingham, Esq; and in Default, of Issue to Thomas Heron [aged 48] of Chilham Castle in the County of Kent, Esq; eldest surviving Son and Heir Male of the said Robert Heron, and to his Heirs Male.

George Wombwell [aged 44], of Wombwell in the County of York, Esq;

William James [aged 56], of Park Farm Place, Eltham, in the County of Kent, Esq;

Edward Lloyd [aged 68], of Pengwern in the County of Flint, Esq; and in Default of Issue to Bell Lloyd of Bodfack in the County of Montgomery, Esq) and to his Heirs Male.

John Coghill [aged 46], of Coghill Hall in the West Riding of the Couhty of York, Esq;

John Taylor [aged 33], of Lysson Hall in the island of Jamaica, Esq;

On 16th December 1783 William James 1st Baronet [aged 62] died. His son Edward [aged 9] succeeded 2nd Baronet James of Park Farm Place in Eltham in Kent.

In 1792 Edward William James 2nd Baronet [aged 18] died. Baronet James of Park Farm Place in Eltham in Kent extinct.

Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire 2nd Creation 1791

17th June 1982. 6th. Son Christopher James 5th Baron Northbourne [aged 56] succeeded.

8th September 2019. 7th. Son Charles James 6th Baron Northbourne [aged 59] succeeded.

On 28th July 1791 Walter Head aka James 1st Baronet was created 1st Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire.

In 1829 Walter Head aka James 1st Baronet died. His grandson Walter [aged 12] succeeded 2nd Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire.

On 4th February 1893 Walter Charles James 1st Baron Northbourne [aged 76] died. His son Walter [aged 46] succeeded 2nd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger in Kent and Jarrow Grange in County Durham, 3rd Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire. Edith Emeline Mary Lane Baroness Northbourne by marriage Baroness Northbourne of Betteshanger in Kent and Jarrow Grange in County Durham.

On 27th January 1923 Walter Henry James 2nd Baron Northbourne [aged 76] died. His son Walter [aged 53] succeeded 3rd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger in Kent and Jarrow Grange in County Durham, 4th Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire.

Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

His son Walter [aged 36] succeeded 4th Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger in Kent and Jarrow Grange in County Durham, 5th Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire. Katherine Louise Nickerson Baroness Northbourne by marriage Baroness Northbourne of Betteshanger in Kent and Jarrow Grange in County Durham.

On 17th June 1982 Walter James 4th Baron Northbourne [aged 86] died. His son Christopher [aged 56] succeeded 5th Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger in Kent and Jarrow Grange in County Durham, 6th Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire.

On 8th September 2019 Christopher James 5th Baron Northbourne [aged 93] died. His son Charles [aged 59] succeeded 6th Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger in Kent and Jarrow Grange in County Durham, 7th Baronet James of Langley Hall and Denford Court in Berkshire.
