Chronicle of a Bourgeois of Valenciennes

Before 1552 Walter Scott of Stapleford Tawney in Essex and [his mother] Elizabeth Belknap were married.

In or before 1552 [his father] Thomas Bishopp of Henfield in Surrey [aged 46] and [his mother] Elizabeth Belknap were married.

On 30th April 1553 Thomas Bishopp 1st Baronet was born to Thomas Bishopp of Henfield in Surrey [aged 47] and Elizabeth Belknap.

In 1560 [his father] Thomas Bishopp of Henfield in Surrey [aged 54] died. His son Thomas Bishopp 1st Baronet [aged 6] became a ward of Richard Sackville [aged 53] and then his son Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset [aged 24].

On 19th September 1577 Thomas Bishopp 1st Baronet [aged 24] and Anne Cromer were married.

Around 1589 Thomas Bishopp 1st Baronet [aged 35] and Jane Weston [aged 36] were married.

On 6th September 1602 [his son] Edward Bishopp 2nd Baronet was born to Thomas Bishopp 1st Baronet [aged 49] and [his wife] Jane Weston [aged 49]. He married in or before 1625 his half fifth cousin once removed Mary Tufton, daughter of Nicholas Tufton 1st Earl of Thanet and Frances Cecil Countess Isle Thanet, and had issue.

On 24th July 1620 Thomas Bishopp 1st Baronet [aged 67] was created 1st Baronet Bishopp of Parham in Sussex.

In or before 1625 [his son] Edward Bishopp 2nd Baronet [aged 22] and [his daughter-in-law] Mary Tufton [aged 17] were married. She the daughter of Nicholas Tufton 1st Earl of Thanet [aged 46] and Frances Cecil Countess Isle Thanet [aged 43]. They were half fifth cousin once removed.

On 26th November 1626 Thomas Bishopp 1st Baronet [aged 73] died. His son Edward [aged 24] succeeded 2nd Baronet Bishopp of Parham in Sussex.

On or before 24th January 1637 [his former wife] Jane Weston [aged 84] died. She was buried on 24th January 1637.
