Around 1668 [his father] Thomas Holland of Bury St Edmunds and [his mother] Elizabeth Meade were married.

Around 1669 John Holland 2nd Baronet was born to Thomas Holland of Bury St Edmunds and Elizabeth Meade.

In May 1699 John Holland 2nd Baronet [aged 30] and Rebecca Paston Lady Holland [aged 18] were married. She the daughter of William Paston 2nd Earl of Yarmouth [aged 45] and Charlotte Jemima Henrietta Maria Fitzroy Countess Yarmouth. They were third cousin once removed. She a granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

In 1700 [his son] William Holland 3rd Baronet was born to John Holland 2nd Baronet [aged 31].

In 1701 John Holland 2nd Baronet [aged 32] was elected MP Norfolk.

On 19th January 1701 [his grandfather] John Holland 1st Baronet [aged 97] died. His grandson John [aged 32] succeeded 2nd Baronet Holland of Quiddenham in Norfolk. [his wife] Rebecca Paston Lady Holland [aged 20] by marriage Lady Holland of Quiddenham in Norfolk.

On 2nd June 1709 John Holland 2nd Baronet [aged 40] was appointed to the Privy Council.

Before July 1724 John Holland 2nd Baronet [aged 55] died. His son William [aged 24] succeeded 3rd Baronet Holland of Quiddenham in Norfolk.

In 1726 [his former wife] Rebecca Paston Lady Holland [aged 45] died.

On 14th December 1790 John Holland 2nd Baronet was asked to prepare the articles of impeachment against Dr Sacheverell, and became a manager of the impeachment. He voted for the impeachment and helped present the prosecution's case
