On 15th September 1375 [his grandfather] John Mohun 2nd Baron Mohun of Dunster [aged 55] died. Since he had no male issue the title Baron Mohun of Dunster went into abeyance between his three daughters. Elizabeth Mohun Countess of Salisbury had one child who died in 1397. Philippa Mohun Duchess York [aged 8] didn't have issue. Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin [aged 18] had one son Richard Strange 3rd Baron Dunster 7th Baron Strange Knockin who succeeded as 3rd Baron Mohun of Dunster on the death of his aunt Philippa Mohun Duchess York.

In or before 1380 [his father] John Strange 6th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 28] and Jane Charleton Baroness Strange Knockin [aged 23] were married. She by marriage Baroness Strange Knockin. They were fourth cousins. She a great x 3 granddaughter of King Edward I of England.

In or before 1381 1369 [his father] John Strange 6th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 29] and [his mother] Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin [aged 23] were married. She by marriage Baroness Strange Knockin. They were fourth cousins.

On 1st August 1381 Richard Strange 3rd Baron Dunster 7th Baron Strange Knockin was born to John Strange 6th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 30] and Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin [aged 24].

On 26th August 1382 [his grandfather] Roger Strange 5th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 56] died. His son [his father] John [aged 31] succeeded 6th Baron Strange Knockin.

On 28th July 1397 [his father] John Strange 6th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 46] died at Whitchurch, Shropshire. His son Richard [aged 15] succeeded 7th Baron Strange Knockin.

On 20th September 1400 [his mother] Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin [aged 43] died.

Chronicle of Gregory. 1417. Ande the same year, a-pon Estyr daye at aftyr none, the Lord Stronge [aged 35] and Syr John Trusselle [aged 68], knyght, fylle at debate for her wyvys in the chyrche of Syn Donstonys in the Este [Map], evyn at the prechyng tyme. In the same fraye Thomas Pedwardynne, fyschemonger, was slayne as he wolde have lettyde them of her fyghtynge, and many men were i-hurte; and therefore the chyrche was suspendyd. Ande thenne was the Lord Stronge a-restyde and brought unto the Counter in the Pultrye, and the Sonday nexte aftyr he was cursyde in every chyrche in London, whithe boke, belle, and candelle, in one houre of the day. And aftyr he dyde his penaunsse opynly thorow London for his trespas ayenst Hooly Chyrche.

On 17th July 1431 [his aunt] Philippa Mohun Duchess York [aged 64] died at Carisbrooke Castle [Map]. She was buried at Chapel of St Nicholas, Westminster Abbey [Map]. Her nephew Richard [aged 49] succeeded 3rd Baron Mohun of Dunster as a result of her death bring the title out of abeyance.

Before 18th March 1434 Richard Strange 3rd Baron Dunster 7th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 52] and Elizabeth Cobham Baroness Strange and Mohun [aged 15] were married. She by marriage Baroness Strange Knockin, Baroness Mohun of Dunster. The difference in their ages was 37 years. They were fourth cousin once removed.

On 20th May 1443 [his son] John Strange 8th Baron Strange Knockin 4th Baron Mohun Dunster was born to Richard Strange 3rd Baron Dunster 7th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 61] and [his wife] Elizabeth Cobham Baroness Strange and Mohun [aged 24]. He married 27th March 1450 his sixth cousin Jacquetta Woodville Baroness Strange and Mohun, daughter of Richard Woodville 1st Earl Rivers and Jacquetta of Luxemburg Duchess Bedford, and had issue.

On 9th August 1449 Richard Strange 3rd Baron Dunster 7th Baron Strange Knockin [aged 68] died. His son John [aged 6] succeeded 8th Baron Strange Knockin, 4th Baron Mohun of Dunster. Jacquetta Woodville Baroness Strange and Mohun [aged 4] by marriage Baroness Strange Knockin, Baroness Mohun of Dunster.

In 1450 Roger Kynaston of Myddle and Hordley [aged 17] and [his former wife] Elizabeth Cobham Baroness Strange and Mohun [aged 31] were married.

On 17th March 1454 [his former wife] Elizabeth Cobham Baroness Strange and Mohun [aged 35] died.
