On 8th November 1642 Henry Noel [aged 27] and [his mother] Mary Perry Lady Fermor were married at St Mary le Strand Church.

On 8th September 1646 [his father] William Fermor 1st Baronet [aged 25] and [his mother] Mary Perry Lady Fermor were married. She by marriage Lady Fermor of Easton Neston in Northamptonshire.

On 3rd August 1648 William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster was born to William Fermor 1st Baronet [aged 27] and Mary Perry Lady Fermor.

On 14th May 1661 [his father] William Fermor 1st Baronet [aged 40] died. His succeeded son William [aged 12] succeeded 2nd Baronet Fermor of Easton Neston in Northamptonshire.

On 18th July 1670 [his mother] Mary Perry Lady Fermor died.

John Evelyn's Diary. 17th June 1679. I was godfather to a son of Sir Christopher Wren [aged 55], surveyor of his Majesty's [aged 49] buildings, that most excellent and learned person, with Sir William Fermor [aged 30], and my Lady Viscountess Newport, wife of the Treasurer of the Household [aged 59].

John Evelyn's Diary. 5th May 1681. Came to dine with me Sir William Fermor [aged 32], of Northamptonshire, and Sir Christopher Wren [aged 57], his Majesty's [aged 50] architect and surveyor, now building the Cathedral of St. Paul [Map], and the column [Map] in memory of the city's conflagration, and was in hand with the building of fifty parish churches. A wonderful genius had this incomparable person.

John Evelyn's Diary. 21st March 1691. Dined at Sir William Fermor's [aged 42], who showed me many good pictures. After dinner, a French servant played rarely on the lute. Sir William had now bought all the remaining statues collected with so much expense by the famous Thomas, Earl of Arundel, and sent them to his seat at Easton, near Towcester.

William III Creation of New Lords

On 12th April 1692 William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 43] was created 1st Baron Leominster by King William III of England, Scotland and Ireland [aged 41]. [his future wife] Catherine Paulett Baroness Leominster by marriage Baroness Leominster.

John Evelyn's Diary. 28th February 1692. Lord Marlborough [aged 41] having used words against the King [aged 41], and been discharged from all his great places, his wife [aged 31] was forbidden the Court, and the Princess of Denmark [aged 27] was desired by the Queen [aged 29] to dismiss her from her service; but she refusing to do so, goes away from Court to Sion house [Map]. Divers new Lords made: Sir Henry Capel [aged 53], Sir William Fermor [aged 43], etc. Change of Commissioners in the Treasury. The Parliament adjourned, not well satisfied with affairs. The business of the East India Company, which they would have reformed, let fall. The Duke of Norfolk [aged 37] does not succeed in his endeavor to be divorced.

Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough

A canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: 'In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed.'

In or before 1697 [his daughter] Elizabeth Fermor was born to William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 48] and [his wife] Jane Barker. She died aged eight point zero zero zero zero one nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine two in 1705.

In or before 1697 [his daughter] Mary Fermor Lady Woodhouse was born to William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 48] and [his wife] Catherine Paulett Baroness Leominster. She married after 1700 her fifth cousin once removed John Wodehouse 4th Baronet and had issue.

In or before 1697 William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 48] and Jane Barker were married.

In or before 1697 William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 48] and Catherine Paulett Baroness Leominster were married.

Before 1698 William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 49] and Sophia Osborne Baroness Leominster [aged 36] were married. Sophia Osborne Baroness Leominster by marriage Baroness Leominster. She the daughter of Thomas Osborne 1st Duke Leeds [aged 65] and Bridget Bertie Duchess Leeds [aged 68]. They were second cousins.

In 1698 [his son] Thomas Fermor 1st Earl Pomfret was born to William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 49] and [his wife] Sophia Osborne Baroness Leominster [aged 37]. He married 14th July 1720 his fifth cousin Henriette Louise Jeffreys Countess Pomfret, daughter of John Jeffreys 2nd Baron Jeffreys and Charlotte Herbert Viscountess Windsor, and had issue.

After 1700 [his son-in-law] John Wodehouse 4th Baronet [aged 30] and [his daughter] Mary Fermor Lady Woodhouse [aged 3] were married. Mary Fermor Lady Woodhouse by marriage Lady Woodhouse of Wilberhall. The difference in their ages was 27 years. They were fifth cousin once removed.

In 1705 [his daughter] Elizabeth Fermor [aged 8] died unmarried.

In 1706 Bishop Philip Bisse [aged 39] and [his sister-in-law] Bridget Osborne Countess Plymouth were married. She the daughter of [his father-in-law] Thomas Osborne 1st Duke Leeds [aged 73] and [his mother-in-law] Bridget Bertie Duchess Leeds.

On 7th December 1711 William Fermor 1st Baron Leominster [aged 63] died. His succeeded son Thomas Fermor 1st Earl Pomfret [aged 13] succeeded 2nd Baron Leominster, 3rd Baronet Fermor of Easton Neston in Northamptonshire.

On 8th December 1746 [his former wife] Sophia Osborne Baroness Leominster [aged 85] died.
