On 18th April 1674 Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend was born to Horatio Townshend 1st Viscount Townsend [aged 43] and Mary Ashe Viscountess Townshend [aged 22].

On 10th December 1687 [his father] Horatio Townshend 1st Viscount Townsend [aged 56] died. His son Charles [aged 13] succeeded 2nd Viscount Townsend, 2nd Baron Townshend of Lynn Regis in Norfolk, 4th Baronet Townshend.
On 11th July 1700 [his son] Charles Townshend 3rd Viscount Townsend was born to Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend [aged 26] and [his future wife] Elizabeth Pelham Viscountess Townsend. He married 29th May 1723 Audrey aka Etheldreda Harrison and had issue.
On 2nd June 1701 [his son] Thomas Townshend was born to Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend [aged 27] and [his future wife] Elizabeth Pelham Viscountess Townsend. He married 1730 Albinia Selwyn and had issue.
In 1702 [his son] William Townshend was born to Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend [aged 27] and [his future wife] Elizabeth Pelham Viscountess Townsend. He married before 27th August 1729 his fifth cousin once removed Henrietta Paulett and had issue.
On 5th June 1708 [his son] Roger Townshend was born to Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend [aged 34] and [his future wife] Elizabeth Pelham Viscountess Townsend.
Before 11th May 1711 Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend [aged 37] and Elizabeth Pelham Viscountess Townsend were married. She by marriage Viscountess Townsend.
On 11th May 1711 [his wife] Elizabeth Pelham Viscountess Townsend died.

In 1724 Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend [aged 49] was appointed 543rd Knight of the Garter by King George I [aged 63].
Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

On 21st June 1738 Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend [aged 64] died. His son Charles [aged 37] succeeded 3rd Viscount Townsend, 3rd Baron Townshend of Lynn Regis in Norfolk, 5th Baronet Townshend.
[his daughter] Elizabeth Townshend Countess Cornwallis was born to Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend and Elizabeth Pelham Viscountess Townsend. She married 28th November 1722 Charles Cornwallis 1st Earl Cornwallis, son of Charles Cornwallis 4th Baron Cornwallis and Charlotte Butler Baroness Cornwallis, and had issue.
[his daughter] Mary Townshend was born to Charles Townshend 2nd Viscount Townsend and Dorothy Walpole Viscountess Townsend. She married Edward Cornwallis, son of Charles Cornwallis 4th Baron Cornwallis and Charlotte Butler Baroness Cornwallis.
