Around 1367 Philippa Mohun Duchess York was born to [her father] John Mohun 2nd Baron Mohun of Dunster (age 47) and [her mother] Joan Burghesh Baroness Dunster (age 48) in Dunster, Somerset.
In or before 1368 Walter Fitzwalter 4th Baron Fitzwalter (age 22) and Philippa Mohun Duchess York
Around 1368 [her son] Walter Fitzwalter 5th Baron Fitzwalter was born to Walter Fitzwalter 4th Baron Fitzwalter (age 23) and Philippa Mohun Duchess York (age 1).
On 15th September 1375 [her father] John Mohun 2nd Baron Mohun of Dunster (age 55) died. Since he had no male issue the title Baron Mohun of Dunster went into abeyance between his three daughters. [her sister] Elizabeth Mohun Countess of Salisbury had one child who died in 1397. Philippa Mohun Duchess York (age 8) didn't have issue. [her sister] Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin (age 18) had one son [her nephew] Richard Strange 3rd Baron Dunster 7th Baron Strange Knockin who succeeded as 3rd Baron Mohun of Dunster on the death of his aunt Philippa Mohun Duchess York.
In or before 1381 1369 [her brother-in-law] John Strange 6th Baron Strange Knockin (age 29) and [her sister] Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin (age 23) were married. She by marriage Baroness Strange Knockin. They were fourth cousins.
In 1381 [her future husband] Edward 2nd Duke of York 1st Duke Albemarle (age 8) and Beatrice Burgundy Countess Rutland and Cork (age 8) were married. She the daughter of Ferdinand I King Portugal (age 35) and Leonor Teles Meneses Queen Consort Portugal. He the son of [her future father-in-law] Edmund of Langley 1st Duke of York (age 39) and Isabella of Castile Duchess York (age 26). They were second cousin once removed. He a grandson of King Edward III of England.
After 7th August 1385 [her brother-in-law] William Montagu 2nd Earl Salisbury (age 57) and [her sister] Elizabeth Mohun Countess of Salisbury were married. She by marriage Countess Salisbury. He the son of William Montagu 1st Earl Salisbury and Catherine Grandison Countess of Salisbury. They were half fifth cousin once removed.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." On 25th February 1390 [her future husband] Edward 2nd Duke of York 1st Duke Albemarle (age 17) was created 1st Earl of Rutland. Beatrice Burgundy Countess Rutland and Cork (age 17) by marriage Countess of Rutland.
In 1394 [her future husband] Edward 2nd Duke of York 1st Duke Albemarle (age 21) was created 1st Earl Cork. Beatrice Burgundy Countess Rutland and Cork (age 21) by marriage Countess Cork.
Before 7th October 1398 Edward 2nd Duke of York 1st Duke Albemarle (age 25) and Philippa Mohun Duchess York (age 31) were married. He the son of Edmund of Langley 1st Duke of York (age 57) and Isabella of Castile Duchess York.
On 20th September 1400 [her sister] Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin (age 43) died.
On 1st August 1402 [her father-in-law] Edmund of Langley 1st Duke of York (age 61) died at King's Langley, Hertfordshire [Map]. His son [her husband] Edward (age 29) succeeded 2nd Duke York, 2nd Earl Cambridge and inherited his estates which included Conisbrough Castle [Map]. Philippa Mohun Duchess York (age 35) by marriage Duchess York.
On 3rd October 1404 [her mother] Joan Burghesh Baroness Dunster (age 85) died at Guest House Canterbury Cathedral. She was buried at Canterbury, Kent [Map].
In 1406 [her son] Walter Fitzwalter 5th Baron Fitzwalter (age 38) died. His son [her grandson] Humphrey (age 8) succeeded 6th Baron Fitzwalter.
In May 1406 [her brother-in-law] Richard of Conisbrough 1st Earl Cambridge (age 20) and Anne Mortimer (age 15) were married. The marriage apparently took place in secret possibly because she was a descendant of King Edward III of England although she wasn't at the time Heir to the Throne of England although their issue would become so. She died five years later. She the daughter of Roger Mortimer 4th Earl March 3rd Earl of Ulster and Eleanor Holland Countess March and Ulster. He the son of [her father-in-law] Edmund of Langley 1st Duke of York and Isabella of Castile Duchess York. They were first cousin twice removed. He a grandson of King Edward III of England. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

On 14th January 1415 [her sister] Elizabeth Mohun Countess of Salisbury died in Salisbury.
On 25th October 1415 King Henry V of England (age 29) defeated a French army at the Battle of Agincourt.
The battle is described by three Chroniclers were present:
Jean de Waurin: "1, the author of this work, know the truth of the matter, for in that assembly I was among the French".
Jean le Fevre de St Remy: "I who write this, seated on a horse among the baggage at the rear of the battle, along with the other priests who were present".
The anonymous author of the Gesta Henrici Quinti i.e. Deeds of Henry V: "while I was on the other side with the English".
Thomas Camoys 1st Baron Camoys (age 64) commanded the Rearguard. Richard de Vere 11th Earl of Oxford (age 30) commanded. Humphrey Lancaster 1st Duke Gloucester (age 25) was wounded, and was protected by his brother King Henry V of England.
[her husband] Edward 2nd Duke of York 1st Duke Albemarle (age 42), commander of the Vanguard, was killed; the most senior English casualty. Duke Albemarle, Earl of Rutland and Earl Cork extinct. His nephew Richard (age 4) succeeded 3rd Duke York and inherited his estates including Conisbrough Castle [Map].
John Fortescue (age 35), Dafydd Gam Brecon (age 35) and Edward Burnell (age 44) and Roger Vaughan of Bredwardine (age 38) were killed.
Michael de la Pole 3rd Earl Suffolk (age 21) was killed. His brother William (age 19) succeeded 4th Earl Suffolk, 4th Baron Pole.

The conntesse of Kent (age 41)2 sat under the table at the ryght foot, and the coutesse marshall at the left foot. The duke of Glouceter, sir Humfrey (age 30), was that daye overloker, and stode before the quene bare hedyd. Sir Richarde Neuyll was that daye carver to the quene. The erlys brother of Suffolk cupberer, sir lohn Stewarde sewar. The lord Clyfford paterer, instede of ye erle of Warwik. The lord Wyllughby boteler, in stede of ye erle of Arudell. The lorde Gray Ruthyn (age 59), or Ryffyn, naperer. The lord of Awdeley amner, in stede of the erle of Cambrydge. The erle of Worceter (age 25) was that day erle marshal, in absence of the erle marshall, the whiche rode aboute the halle upon a great courser, wt a multytude of typped stauys aboute hym, to kepe the rome in the halle.
Note 1. her husband [her former husband] Edward 2nd Duke of York 1st Duke Albemarle had been killed six years before at the Battle of Agincourt so correctly Dowager Duchess of York.
Note 2. her husband Edmund Holland 4th Earl Kent had been killed thirteen years before at the Battle of Île de Bréhat so correctly Dowager Countess of Kent.

On 17th July 1431 Philippa Mohun Duchess York (age 64) died at Carisbrooke Castle [Map]. She was buried at Chapel of St Nicholas, Westminster Abbey [Map]. Her nephew [her nephew] Richard (age 49) succeeded 3rd Baron Mohun of Dunster as a result of her death bring the title out of abeyance.
