In 1701 Bishop Thomas Tanner [aged 26] and Rose Moore [aged 20] were married. She the daughter of Bishop John Moore [aged 55] and Rose Butler.
In 1706 Bishop Thomas Tanner [aged 31] was appointed Rector of Thorpe, Norwich.
On 15th March 1706 [his wife] Rose Moore [aged 25] died. She was buried in Norwich Cathedral [Map] under a white marble tablet with an inscription to her memory.
In 1713 Bishop Thomas Tanner [aged 38] became Canon of Ely Cathedral [Map].
Before 11th June 1718 Bishop Thomas Tanner [aged 44] and Frances Preston [aged 40] were married.
On 11th June 1718 [his wife] Frances Preston [aged 40] died. She was buried on the south side of the bishop's chapel in Norwich Cathedral [Map].
In 1724 Bishop Thomas Tanner [aged 49] became Canon of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford [Map].
The London Gazette 7069. Whitehall, February 29 [1731]. His Majesty has been pleased to grant unto John Baron, Master of Arts, the Archdeaconry of Norfolk, void by the Promotion of the Right Reverend Father in God Dr. Thomas Tanner [aged 57] to the Bishoprick of St. Asaph.
