On 22nd December 1578 [his father] Thomas Fanshawe [aged 45] and [his mother] Joan Smythe [aged 18] were married some six months after the death of his first wife Mary Bourchier. The difference in their ages was 27 years.

In 1580 Thomas Fanshawe was born to Thomas Fanshawe [aged 47] and Joan Smythe [aged 20].

Before 1596 [his half-brother] Henry Fanshawe [aged 26] and [his aunt] Elizabeth Smythe [aged 23] were married. She, Elizabeth, his step-mother [his mother] Joan Smythe's [aged 35] sister?

In 1601 Thomas Fanshawe [aged 21] was elected to MP Bedford.

On 19th February 1601 [his father] Thomas Fanshawe [aged 68] died.

In 1604 Thomas Fanshawe [aged 24] was elected to MP Lancaster.

In 1607 [his son] Thomas Fanshawe of Jenkins was born to Thomas Fanshawe [aged 27]. He married in or before 1628 Susanna Otten and had issue.

In 1614 Thomas Fanshawe [aged 34] was elected to MP Lancaster.

In 1621 Thomas Fanshawe [aged 41] was elected to MP Lancaster.

In May 1622 [his mother] Joan Smythe [aged 62] died.

In 1624 Thomas Fanshawe [aged 44] was knighted by King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland [aged 57].

In or before 1628 [his son] Thomas Fanshawe of Jenkins [aged 20] and [his daughter-in-law] Susanna Otten [aged 19] were married.

On 17th December 1631 Thomas Fanshawe [aged 51] died.
