Before 1086 Roger "The Poitevin" Montgomery Viscount Hiemois [aged 20] and Almodis La Marche were married at Poitou. She the daughter of Aldebert La Marche II Count La Marche. He the son of Roger "The Great" Montgomery 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and Mabel de Bellême.

Before 9th September 1087 [his brother] Robert II Belleme 2nd Count Ponthieu 3rd Earl of Shrewsbury [aged 31] and [his sister-in-law] Agnes Ponthieu Countess Ponthieu and Shrewsbury [aged 7] were married. The difference in their ages was 24 years. She the daughter of Guy aka Wido I Count of Ponthieu [aged 67]. He the son of [his father] Roger "The Great" Montgomery 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and [his mother] Mabel de Bellême.

In the Domesday Book of 1088 the manor of Sutton Scarsdale [Map] was owned by Roger "The Poitevin" Montgomery Viscount Hiemois [aged 23].

His son Robert [aged 38] succeeded 2nd Count Ponthieu. Agnes Ponthieu Countess Ponthieu and Shrewsbury [aged 14] by marriage Countess Ponthieu.

In 1094 Roger "The Poitevin" Montgomery Viscount Hiemois [aged 29] established the Benedictine Lancaster Priory [Map], dedicated to St Mary, as a cell of the Abbey of Saint Martin of Sées in Normandy.

In 1098 [his brother] Hugh Montgomery 2nd Earl of Shrewsbury [aged 40] died.

On 13th October 1100 Guy aka Wido I Count of Ponthieu [aged 80] died. His daughter [his sister-in-law] Agnes [aged 20] succeeded I Countess Ponthieu. [his brother] Robert II Belleme 2nd Count Ponthieu 3rd Earl of Shrewsbury [aged 44] by marriage Count Ponthieu.

After 1130 [his brother] Robert II Belleme 2nd Count Ponthieu 3rd Earl of Shrewsbury [deceased] died. His son [his nephew] William [aged 37] succeeded III Count Ponthieu.

Before 1140 Roger "The Poitevin" Montgomery Viscount Hiemois [aged 74] died.
