Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan was appointed Count Meulan. Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey by marriage Countess Meulan.
In or before 1040 [his father] Roger "Bearded" Beaumont [aged 24] and [his mother] Adeline of Meulan were married.
In 1040 Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan was born to Roger "Bearded" Beaumont [aged 25] and Adeline of Meulan.
History of the Dukes of Normandy by William of Jumieges. Roger of Beaumont [aged 26], having overcome his adversaries, gave thanks to God for the victory, and throughout his whole life strove earnestly to do good works. Among these, he built on his own land the monastic abbey at Préaux, and he always remained faithful to Duke William against all others. For this reason he became more exalted than all his ancestors. For he married Adelina, daughter of Waleran, count of Meulan; and by her he begot two sons, Robert [aged 1] and Henry, who afterward became powerful counts1. Robert indeed, after his uncle Hugh, flourished as count of Meulan for more than twenty-seven years; and Henry received from King William in England the county of Warwick. After the aforesaid slaughter in which Roger of Tosny and Robert of Grandmesnil and many others fell, Richard [aged 26], count of Évreux, son of Archbishop Robert, took to wife the widow2 of Roger of Tosny, and by her begot William, who now rules the people of Évreux. And his [Richard's] brother [William [aged 36]] took as his wife Hawise, daughter of Giroie and widow of Robert of Grandmesnil.

Post præfatam cædem in qua Rogerius et Robertus de Grentemaisnil et alii quamplures ceciderunt, Richardus Ebroicensis comes, filius Roberti archiepiscopi, uxorem Rogerii de Toenia sibi in matrimonio assumpsit, ex qua Willelmum, qui nunc Ebroicensibus principatur, genuit. Willelmus vero frater ejus Hadevisam filiam Geroii relictam Roberti de Grentemaisnil sibi junxit.
Note 1. Robert Beaumont, around 1040-1118, succeeded his father as Count of Meulan. He was one of the companions of William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings. He was created Earl of Leicester in 1107 by King Henry I. He married around 1096, he aged fifty, she around eleven, Elizabeth of Vermandois, daughter of Hugh the Great, grand-daughter of King Henry I of Francia, and had issue. Henry Beaumont, around 1050-1119. He was created Earl of Warwick in 1088 by King William II. He married, sometime before 1100, Marguerite of Chateaudun, daughter of Geoffrey III Count of Mortain and II of Perche, and had issue.

On 14th October 1066 the Norman army led by King William "Conqueror" I of England [aged 38] defeated the English army of King Harold II of England [aged 44] at the 14th October 1066 Battle of Hastings fought at Senlac Hill Hastings. Aimery Thouars [aged 42], Ralph de Gael 2nd Earl East Anglia [aged 24], Eustace II Count Boulogne [aged 51], William Fitzosbern 1st Earl Hereford [aged 46], Geoffrey Chateaudun II Count Mortain III Count Perche, William Warenne 1st Earl of Surrey, Raoul Tosny, Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 26], Hugh Grandesmil [aged 34], Roger "The Great" Montgomery 1st Earl of Shrewsbury (possibly), Robert Mortain Count Mortain 1st Earl Cornwall [aged 35] and Bishop Odo of Bayeux fought for William.
King Harold II of England was killed. Earl Wessex, Earl Hereford extinct.
Leofwine Godwinson 2nd Earl Kent [aged 31] was killed. Earl Kent extinct.
His brothers Gyrth Godwinson Earl East Anglia [aged 34] and Engenulphe Aigle [aged 56] were killed.
On 8th April 1081 [his mother] Adeline of Meulan died.
In 1088 [his brother] Henry Beaumont 1st Earl Warwick [aged 38] was created 1st Earl Warwick.
On 20th November 1094 [his father] Roger "Bearded" Beaumont [aged 79] died.
In 1096 Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 56] and Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 11] were married. She by marriage Countess of Leicester. The difference in their ages was 45 years. She the daughter of Hugh "Great" Capet [aged 39] and Adelaide I Countess Vermandois.
Around 1097 [his daughter] Adeline Beaumont was born to Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 57] and [his wife] Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 12]. She married in or before 1125 Hugh IV Montfort and had issue.
Before 1100 [his brother] Henry Beaumont 1st Earl Warwick [aged 49] and [his sister-in-law] Marguerite Chateaudun Countess Warwick were married. She by marriage Countess Warwick. She the daughter of Geoffrey Chateaudun II Count Mortain III Count Perche and Beatrix de Ramerupt Montdidier Countess Mortain and Perche.
On 2nd August 1100 King William II of England [aged 44] died in a hunting accident, not known whether accidentally or otherwise, in the New Forest, Hampshire. His brother Henry [aged 32] succeeded I King of England. The brothers Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 60] and Henry Beaumont 1st Earl Warwick [aged 50], and Roger de Clare [aged 34] and Gilbert de Clare [aged 34] were present.
In 1102 [his daughter] Emma Beaumont was born to Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 62] and [his wife] Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 17].
In 1104 [his son] Robert Beaumont 2nd Earl of Leicester was born to Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 64] and [his wife] Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 19]. He married 1121 his fourth cousin once removed Amice Gael Countess Leicester and had issue.
In 1104 [his son] Waleran Beaumont 1st Earl of Worcester Count Meulan was born to Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 64] and [his wife] Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 19]. He married (1) March 1136 his third cousin once removed Matilda Blois Countess of Worcester (2) 1142 his fourth cousin once removed Agnes Elizabeth Montfort Countess Worcester, daughter of Amaury Montfort Count Évreux, and had issue.
Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

In 1106 [his son] Hugh Beaumont was born to Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 66] and [his wife] Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 21].
On 28th September 1106 King Henry I "Beauclerc" England [aged 38] defeated his older brother Robert Curthose III Duke Normandy [aged 55] at the Battle of Tinchebray at Tinchebray, Orne.
William Warenne 2nd Earl of Surrey and Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 66]. Elias I Count Maine commanded the reserve. The following fought for Henry:

Robert Curthose III Duke Normandy was captured and spent the next twenty-eight years in prison; never released.
William Mortain Count Mortain 2nd Earl Cornwall [aged 22] was also captured. He spent the next thirty or more years in prison before becoming a monk. Earl Cornwall forfeit.
King Edgar Ætheling II of England [aged 55] was captured and subsequently released; Henry had married to Edgar's niece Edith aka Matilda Dunkeld Queen Consort England [aged 26] in 1100.
Robert II Belleme 2nd Count Ponthieu 3rd Earl of Shrewsbury [aged 50] escaped.
Robert Stuteville was captured.
In 1107 Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 67] was created 1st Earl of Leicester.
In 1118 Charles I Count Flanders [aged 34] and [his sister-in-law] Marguerite Clermont Countess Flanders [aged 13] were married. The difference in their ages was 21 years. She the daughter of Renaud II Count of Clermont-en-Beauvaisis [aged 43] and [his mother-in-law] Adelaide I Countess Vermandois. He the son of King Canute "The Holy" IV of Denmark and Adela Flanders Queen Consort Denmark. They were fifth cousin once removed.
On 5th June 1118 Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan [aged 78] died. His son Robert [aged 14] succeeded 2nd Earl of Leicester. Amice Gael Countess Leicester by marriage Countess of Leicester. His son Waleran [aged 14] succeeded Count Meulan.
Before 1119 William Warenne 2nd Earl of Surrey and [his former wife] Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 33] were married. She by marriage Countess Surrey. She the daughter of [his former father-in-law] Hugh "Great" Capet and [his former mother-in-law] Adelaide I Countess Vermandois. He the son of William Warenne 1st Earl of Surrey and Gundred Countess of Surrey.
On 13th February 1131 [his former wife] Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey [aged 46] died.
[his daughter] Isabel Beaumont Countess Pembroke was born to Robert Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester Count Meulan and Elizabeth Capet Countess Leicester, Meulan and Surrey. She married in or before 1130 her half fourth cousin Gilbert de Clare 1st Earl Pembroke and had issue.
