In 1871 Lawrence Dundas 1st Marquess Zetland [aged 26] and Lilian Selina Elizabeth Lumley Marchioness Zetland [aged 19] were married. She by marriage Countess Zetland aka Shetland. She the daughter of Richard Lumley 9th Earl Scarborough [aged 57] and Adeliza Drummond Countess Scarborough.
On 24th November 1872 [his daughter] Hilda Mary Dundas Baroness Southampton was born to Lawrence Dundas 1st Marquess Zetland [aged 28] and [his wife] Lilian Selina Elizabeth Lumley Marchioness Zetland [aged 21]. She married 9th July 1892 Charles Fitzroy 4th Baron Southampton, son of Charles Fitzroy 3rd Baron Southampton and Ismania Katharine Nugent Baroness Southampton, and had issue.
On 6th May 1873 [his uncle] Thomas Laurence Dundas 2nd Earl Zetland [aged 78] died at his home Aske Hall North Yorkshire. His nephew Lawrence [aged 28] succeeded 3rd Earl Zetland aka Shetland, 4th Baron Dundas, 5th Baronet Dundas of Kerse.
On 19th January 1874 [his son] Thomas Dundas was born to Lawrence Dundas 1st Marquess Zetland [aged 29] and [his wife] Lilian Selina Elizabeth Lumley Marchioness Zetland [aged 22]. He died aged less than one years old.
On 11th February 1874 [his son] Thomas Dundas died.
On 11th June 1876 [his son] Lawrence John Lumley Dundas 2nd Marquess Zetland was born to Lawrence Dundas 1st Marquess Zetland [aged 31] and [his wife] Lilian Selina Elizabeth Lumley Marchioness Zetland [aged 24].
On 9th July 1877 [his daughter] Maud Frederica Elizabeth Dundas Countess Fitzwilliam was born to Lawrence Dundas 1st Marquess Zetland [aged 32] and [his wife] Lilian Selina Elizabeth Lumley Marchioness Zetland [aged 25]. She married 24th June 1896 her third cousin William Charles de Meuron "Billy" Wentworth-Fitzwilliam 7th and 5th Earl Fitzwilliam and had issue.

On 9th July 1892 [his son-in-law] Charles Fitzroy 4th Baron Southampton [aged 25] and Hilda Mary Dundas Baroness Southampton [aged 19] were married. She by marriage Baroness Southampton. She the daughter of Lawrence Dundas 1st Marquess Zetland [aged 47] and Lilian Selina Elizabeth Lumley Marchioness Zetland [aged 40].

On 12th March 1898 Orlando Bridgeman 3rd Earl Bradford [aged 78] died at Weston Park, Staffordshire. His son George [aged 53] succeeded 4th Earl Bradford, 4th Viscount Newport of Shropshire, 5th Baron Bradford in Shropshire, 9th Baronet Bridgeman of Great Lever in Lancashire. [his sister-in-law] Ida Frances Annabella Lumley Countess Bradford [aged 49] by marriage Countess Bradford.
On 8th April 1899 [his brother-in-law] Aldred Beresford Lumley 10th Earl Scarborough [aged 41] and Lucy Cecilia Dunn-Garnder Countess Scarborough were married at Christ Church, Mayfair.
