In September 1716 [his father] John Shaw 3rd Baronet [aged 29] and [his mother] Anna Maria Barnardiston Lady Shaw [aged 19] were married.
On 22nd November 1728 John Shaw 4th Baronet was born to John Shaw 3rd Baronet [aged 41] and Anna Maria Barnardiston Lady Shaw [aged 31]. He was baptised on 19th December 1728 at the Church of Holy Trinity, Eltham.
On 4th March 1739 [his father] John Shaw 3rd Baronet [aged 52] died. He was buried on 13th March 1739 at the Church of Holy Trinity, Eltham. His son John [aged 10] succeeded 4th Baronet Shaw of Eltham in Kent.
On 29th June 1745 John Shaw 4th Baronet [aged 16] matriculated Trinity College, Oxford University.
On 28th June 1748 John Shaw 4th Baronet [aged 19] was awarded MA by Trinity College, Oxford University.
On 12th June 1749 John Shaw 4th Baronet [aged 20] was awarded DCL by Trinity College, Oxford University.
In 1753 John Shaw 4th Baronet [aged 24] was appointed High Sheriff of Kent.
On 30th November 1755 [his mother] Anna Maria Barnardiston Lady Shaw [aged 58] died. She was buried at Church of Holy Trinity, Eltham on 10th December 1755.
On 25th July 1756 John Gregory Shaw 5th Baronet was born to John Shaw 4th Baronet [aged 27]. He married 9th March 1782 Theodosia Margaret Monson Lady Shaw, daughter of John Monson 2nd Baron Monson, and had issue.
On 18th June 1779 John Shaw 4th Baronet [aged 50] died. He was buried at the Church of Holy Trinity, Eltham on 26th June 1779. His son John [aged 22] succeeded 5th Baronet Shaw of Eltham in Kent.
