On 24th November 1609 Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux [aged 15] was educated at Brasenose College, Oxford University.
On 27th March 1613 Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux [aged 19] was knighted.
In 1614 Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux [aged 20] was elected MP Wigan.
Around 1618 Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux [aged 24] and Mary Caryll Viscountess Molyneux [aged 21] were married.
In or after 1618 [his son] Richard Molyneux 2nd Viscount Molyneux was born to Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux [aged 24] and [his wife] Mary Caryll Viscountess Molyneux [aged 21]. He married 1637 Frances Seymour Countess Southampton, daughter of William Seymour 2nd Duke of Somerset and Frances Devereux Duchess of Somerset.
On 19th February 1620 [his mother] Frances Gerard Lady Molyneux [aged 51] died at Sefton, Cheshire.
On 8th February 1622 [his father] Richard Molyneux 1st Baronet [aged 62] died. His son Richard [aged 28] succeeded 2nd Baronet Molyneux of Sefton. [his wife] Mary Caryll Viscountess Molyneux [aged 25] by marriage Lady Molyneux of Sefton.
Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

In 1636 Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux [aged 42] died. In 1636 His son Richard [aged 17] succeeded 2nd Viscount Molyneux, 3rd Baronet Molyneux of Sefton.
Around 18th July 1639 [his former wife] Mary Caryll Viscountess Molyneux [aged 42] died.
[his daughter] Mary Molyneux was born to Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux and Mary Caryll Viscountess Molyneux.
[his daughter] Charlotte Molyneux Lady Stanley was born to Richard Molyneux 1st Viscount Molyneux and Mary Caryll Viscountess Molyneux. She married 1651 William Stanley 1st Baronet and had issue.
