Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester 1822-1909

On 25th October 1775 [his father] Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester [aged 21] and Jane Dutton [aged 21] were married at Sherborne, Gloucestershire.

In 1822 [his father] Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester [aged 67] and [his mother] Anne Amelia Keppel Countess Leicester [aged 19] were married. The difference in their ages was 48 years. She the daughter of [his grandfather] William Charles Keppel 4th Earl Albermarle [aged 49] and [his grandmother] Elizabeth Southwell Countess Albermarle.

On 26th December 1822 Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester was born to Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester [aged 68] and Anne Amelia Keppel Countess Leicester [aged 19]. He a great x 4 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

In 1837 [his father] Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester [aged 82] was created 1st Earl of Leicester. [his mother] Anne Amelia Keppel Countess Leicester [aged 34] by marriage Countess of Leicester.

On 30th June 1842 [his father] Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester [aged 88] died. His son Thomas [aged 19] succeeded 2nd Earl of Leicester.

On 20th April 1843 Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 20] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 17] were married. She by marriage Countess of Leicester. He the son of Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester and Anne Amelia Keppel Countess Leicester [aged 40]. They were half fifth cousin once removed. He a great x 4 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 23rd May 1843 [his half-sister] Anne Margaret Coke Viscountess Anson [aged 64] died.

In 1844 [his daughter] Julia Coke Viscountess Powerscourt was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 21] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 18]. She married 26th April 1864 her half fifth cousin once removed Mervyn Wingfield 7th Viscount Powerscourt, son of Richard Wingfield 6th Viscount Powerscourt and Elizabeth Frances Jocelyn Viscountess Powerscout, and had issue.

On 22nd July 1844 [his mother] Anne Amelia Keppel Countess Leicester [aged 41] died.

In 1845 [his daughter] Anne Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 22] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 19]. She married before 16th January 1876 Major-General Edmund Manningham Manningham-Buller, son of Edward Manningham-Buller 1st Baronet, and had issue.

In 1846 Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 23] was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk.

In 1847 [his daughter] Gertrude Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 24] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 21]. She married 5th April 1866 Charles Adolphus Murray 7th Earl Dunmore, son of Alexander Murray 6th Earl Dunmore and Catherine Herbert Countess Dunmore, and had issue.

On 20th July 1848 [his son] Thomas William Coke 3rd Earl of Leicester was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 25] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 23]. He married Alice Emily White Countess Leicester and had issue.

In 1849 [his daughter] Mary Coke Countess Dartmouth was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 26] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 23]. She married 18th December 1879 her half fifth cousin William Legge 6th Earl Dartmouth, son of William Legge 5th Earl Dartmouth and Augusta Finch Countess Dartmouth, and had issue.

In 1851 [his daughter] Winifred Coke Countess of Leitrim was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 28] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 25]. She married 2nd September 1873 Robert Bermingham Clements 4th Earl of Leitrim and had issue.

On 24th April 1852 [his daughter] Margaret Coke Baroness Belper was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 29] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 26]. She married 2nd May 1874 Henry Strutt 2nd Baron Belper, son of Edward Strutt 1st Baron Belper and Amelia Harriet Otter Baroness Belper, and had issue.

In 1854 [his daughter] Mildred Coke Countess Lichfield was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 31] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 28]. She married 5th November 1878 her half first cousin twice removed Thomas Francis Anson 3rd Earl Lichfield, son of Thomas George Anson 2nd Earl Lichfield and Harriet Georgiana Louisa Hamilton Countess Lichfield, and had issue.

On 20th November 1855 [his son] Wenman Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 32] and [his wife] Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 30].

On 26th April 1864 [his son-in-law] Mervyn Wingfield 7th Viscount Powerscourt [aged 27] and Julia Coke Viscountess Powerscourt [aged 20] were married. She by marriage Viscountess Powerscourt. She the daughter of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 41] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 38]. They were half fifth cousin once removed. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 5th April 1866 [his son-in-law] Charles Adolphus Murray 7th Earl Dunmore [aged 25] and Gertrude Coke [aged 19] were married. She the daughter of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 43] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester [aged 40]. He the son of Alexander Murray 6th Earl Dunmore and Catherine Herbert Countess Dunmore [aged 51].

Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester: On 3rd June 1825 she was born to Samuel Charles Whitbread and Julia Brand. On 20th April 1843 Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester and she were married. She by marriage Countess of Leicester. He the son of Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester and Anne Amelia Keppel Countess Leicester. They were half fifth cousin once removed. He a great x 4 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

In 1873 Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 50] was appointed 765th Knight of the Garter by Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom [aged 53].

On 2nd September 1873 [his son-in-law] Robert Bermingham Clements 4th Earl of Leitrim [aged 26] and Winifred Coke Countess of Leitrim [aged 22] were married at Walsingha, possibly Walsingham Priory [Map]. She the daughter of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 50] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester.

On 2nd May 1874 [his son-in-law] Henry Strutt 2nd Baron Belper [aged 33] and Margaret Coke Baroness Belper [aged 22] were married at Holkham, Norfolk. She the daughter of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 51] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester.

On 26th August 1875 Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 52] and Georgina Caroline Cavendish Countess Leicester [aged 23] were married. She by marriage Countess of Leicester. The difference in their ages was 29 years. He the son of Thomas Coke 1st Earl of Leicester and Anne Amelia Keppel Countess Leicester.

Before 16th January 1876 [his son-in-law] Major-General Edmund Manningham Manningham-Buller [aged 47] and Anne Coke [aged 31] were married. She the daughter of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 53] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester.

On 23rd January 1876 [his daughter] Anne Coke [aged 31] died.

On 20th August 1876 [his son] Richard Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 53] and [his wife] Georgina Caroline Cavendish Countess Leicester [aged 24].

On 5th November 1878 [his son-in-law] Thomas Francis Anson 3rd Earl Lichfield [aged 22] and Mildred Coke Countess Lichfield [aged 24] were married at St Withburga's Church, Holkham [Map]. She the daughter of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 55] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester. He the son of Thomas George Anson 2nd Earl Lichfield [aged 53] and Harriet Georgiana Louisa Hamilton Countess Lichfield [aged 44]. They were half first cousin twice removed. He a great x 5 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 17th October 1879 [his son] Edward Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 56] and [his wife] Georgina Caroline Cavendish Countess Leicester [aged 27].

On 18th December 1879 [his son-in-law] William Legge 6th Earl Dartmouth [aged 28] and Mary Coke Countess Dartmouth [aged 30] were married. She by marriage Countess Dartmouth. She the daughter of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 56] and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester. He the son of William Legge 5th Earl Dartmouth [aged 56] and Augusta Finch Countess Dartmouth [aged 57]. They were half fifth cousins. On 30th September 1880 [his son] John aka Jack Spencer Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 57] and [his wife] Georgina Caroline Cavendish Countess Leicester [aged 28].

In June 1882 Hugh Lupus Grosvenor 1st Duke Westminster [aged 56] and [his sister-in-law] Katherine Cavendish Duchess Westminster [aged 25] were married. She by marriage Duchess Westminster. The difference in their ages was 31 years. He the son of Richard Grosvenor 2nd Marquess Westminster and Elizabeth Mary Leveson-Gower Marchioness Westminster [aged 85]. They were second cousin twice removed.

On 10th November 1883 [his son] Reginald Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 60] and [his wife] Georgina Caroline Cavendish Countess Leicester [aged 31].

On 19th August 1893 [his son] Lovel William Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 70] and [his wife] Georgina Caroline Cavendish Countess Leicester [aged 41].

Around 1895 [his daughter] Mabel Coke was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 72] and [his wife] Georgina Caroline Cavendish Countess Leicester [aged 43].

On 24th January 1909 Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester [aged 86] died. His son Thomas [aged 60] succeeded 3rd Earl of Leicester. Alice Emily White Countess Leicester [aged 53] by marriage Countess of Leicester. St Withburga's Church, Holkham [Map].

Thomas William Coke 3rd Earl of Leicester: Before 09 Jul 1880 Thomas William Coke 3rd Earl of Leicester and Alice Emily White Countess Leicester were married. He the son of Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester. On 20th July 1848 he was born to Thomas Coke 2nd Earl of Leicester and Juliana Whitbread Countess Leicester. On 19th November 1941 Thomas William Coke 3rd Earl of Leicester died. His son Thomas succeeded 4th Earl of Leicester.

Alice Emily White Countess Leicester: On 29th September 1855 she was born to Luke White 2nd Baron Annaly.
