On 17th July 1827 George Douglas 16th Earl Morton [aged 66] died. His first cousin [his brother-in-law] George [aged 37] succeeded 17th Earl Morton. [his sister] Frances Theodora Rose Countess of Morton [aged 28] by marriage Countess Morton.
On 30th April 1828 George Pitt Rose [aged 31] and Phoebe Susannah Vesey [aged 20] were married at Winchester, Hampshire [Map].
On 19th September 1851 George Pitt Rose [aged 54] died.
On 22nd January 1889 [his former wife] Phoebe Susannah Vesey [aged 81] died.
