In or before 1716 [his father] Henry Frankland [aged 25] and [his mother] Mary Cross were married.
On 26th June 1718 Thomas Frankland 5th Baronet was born to Henry Frankland [aged 28] and Mary Cross.
In 1738 [his father] Henry Frankland [aged 48] died.
In May 1743 Thomas Frankland 5th Baronet [aged 24] and Sarah Rhett Lady Thirkleby were married. The had three sons and seven daughters.
In 1747 Thomas Frankland 5th Baronet [aged 28] was elected MP Thirsk.
In September 1750 [his son] Thomas Frankland 6th Baronet was born to Thomas Frankland 5th Baronet [aged 32] and [his wife] Sarah Rhett Lady Thirkleby. He married 7th March 1775 his third cousin Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby and had issue.
In 1768 Charles Frankland 4th Baronet [aged 52] died. His brother Thomas [aged 49] succeeded 5th Baronet Frankland of Thirkleby in Yorkshire. Sarah Rhett Lady Thirkleby by marriage Lady Frankland of Thirkleby in Yorkshire.
On 7th March 1775 [his son] Thomas Frankland 6th Baronet [aged 24] and [his daughter-in-law] Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby [aged 25] were married. They were third cousins.
On 14th October 1783 [his mother] Mary Cross died.

On 21st November 1784 Thomas Frankland 5th Baronet [aged 66] died at Bath, Somerset [Map]. His son Thomas [aged 34] succeeded 6th Baronet Frankland of Thirkleby in Yorkshire. Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby [aged 34] by marriage Lady Frankland of Thirkleby in Yorkshire.

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.
