Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet 1688-1735

In 1677 [his father] Charles Kemeys 3rd Baronet and [his mother] Mary Wharton [aged 15] were married.

On 23rd November 1688 Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet was born to Charles Kemeys 3rd Baronet and Mary Wharton [aged 26].

After 15th September 1700 [his father] Charles Kemeys 3rd Baronet and [his step-mother] Mary Lewis Lady Aubrey [aged 51] were married. She the daughter of William Lewis of Boarstall and Margaret Banastre Duchess of Richmond.

In December 1702 [his father] Charles Kemeys 3rd Baronet died. His son Charles [aged 14] succeeded 4th Baronet Kemeys of Kevanmabley in Glamorganshire.

In May 1706 Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet [aged 17] was admitted to Trinity College, Cambridge University [Map].

In 1713 Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet [aged 24] was elected MP Monmouthshire.

On 22nd February 1716 Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet [aged 27] was elected MP Glamorganshire.

In 1722 Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet [aged 33] was elected MP Glamorganshire.

In 1727 Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet [aged 38] was elected MP Glamorganshire.

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

In 1735 Charles Kemeys 4th Baronet [aged 46] died unmarried. Baronet Kemeys of Kevanmabley in Glamorganshire extinct. His estates passed to his sister Jane Kemeys Lady Tynte [aged 50] who had married John Tynte 2nd Baronet in 1704.
