On 24th January 1557 [his father] Nicholas Wentworth [aged 75] died at Lillingstone Lovell, Buckinghamshire.

In 1571 Peter Wentworth [aged 42] was elected MP Barnstaple.

In 1571 Peter Wentworth [aged 42] was elected MP Tregony.

On 1st March 1587 John Puckering [aged 43] was asked by Peter Wentworth [aged 58] to answer some questions regarding the liberties of the House. Puckering refused, but showed one of the questions to Thomas Heneage [aged 55]. Wentworth, and four other members of parliament who seconded his motion were imprisoned in the Tower of London [Map].

In 1593 Peter Wentworth [aged 64] was imprisoned for presenting a petition on the subject of the royal succession at Tower of London [Map].

On 10th November 1596 Peter Wentworth [aged 67] died at Tower of London [Map].
