Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich 1781-1862

On 3rd October 1771 [her father] Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 31] and Margaret Butler [aged 23] were married. She by marriage Countess Belmore in the County of Fermanagh.

On 2nd March 1780 [her father] Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 39] and [her mother] Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore [aged 17] were married. She by marriage Countess Belmore in the County of Fermanagh. The difference in their ages was 22 years. She the daughter of [her grandfather] John Hobart 2nd Earl Buckinghamshire [aged 56] and [her grandmother] Mary Anne Drury Countess Buckinghamshire.

On 3rd April 1781 Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich was born to Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 40] and Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore [aged 18].

On 6th December 1789 [her father] Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 49] was created 1st Viscount Belmore of Fermanagh. [her mother] Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore [aged 27] by marriage Viscountess Belmore of Fermanagh.

On 4th April 1793 [her step-father] William Kerr 6th Marquess Lothian [aged 29] and [her mother] Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore [aged 30] were married. She the daughter of [her grandfather] John Hobart 2nd Earl Buckinghamshire [aged 69] and [her grandmother] Mary Anne Drury Countess Buckinghamshire. He the son of William John Kerr 5th Marquess Lothian [aged 56] and Elizabeth Fortescue 5th Marchioness Lothian.

On 3rd August 1793 [her grandfather] John Hobart 2nd Earl Buckinghamshire [aged 69] died. His half brother George [aged 61] succeeded 3rd Earl Buckinghamshire, 3rd Baron Hobart, 7th Baronet Hobart of Intwood in Norfolk. Albinia Bertie Countess Buckinghamshire [aged 54] by marriage Countess Buckinghamshire. [her mother] Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore [aged 31] inherited Blickling Hall, Norfolk [Map].

On 1st March 1794 [her father] Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 53] and [her step-mother] Mary Anne Caldwell Countess Belmore [aged 38] were married. She by marriage Viscountess Belmore of Fermanagh.

On 30th November 1797 [her father] Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 57] was created 1st Earl Belmore in the County of Fermanagh. [her step-mother] Mary Anne Caldwell Countess Belmore [aged 42] by marriage Countess Belmore in the County of Fermanagh.

On 20th October 1800 [her half-brother] Somerset Lowry-Corry 2nd Earl Belmore [aged 26] and [her sister-in-law] Juliana Butler Countess Belmore [aged 17] were married. He the son of [her father] Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 60] and Margaret Butler. They were first cousins.

On 2nd February 1802 [her father] Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore [aged 61] died at Bath, Somerset [Map]. His son [her half-brother] Somerset [aged 27] succeeded 2nd Earl Belmore in the County of Fermanagh, Viscount Belmore of Fermanagh and Baron Belmore of Castle Coole in the County of Fermanagh. [her sister-in-law] Juliana Butler Countess Belmore [aged 18] by marriage Countess Belmore in the County of Fermanagh.

On 9th July 1804 George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich [aged 31] and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of Armar Lowry-Corry 1st Earl Belmore and Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore [aged 42]. He the son of John Montagu 5th Earl Sandwich [aged 60] and Maria Henrietta Powlett.

On 14th May 1805 [her daughter] Harriet Mary Montagu Baroness Ashburton was born to [her husband] George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich [aged 32] and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 24]. She married 12th April 1823 Bingham Baring 2nd Baron Ashburton, son of Alexander Baring 1st Baron Ashburton and Ann Louisa Bingham Baroness Ashburton, and had issue.

On 14th July 1805 [her mother] Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore [aged 43] died.

On 7th October 1808 [her daughter] Catherine Caroline Montagu Countess Colonna-Walewski was born to [her husband] George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich [aged 35] and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 27]. She married 1st December 1831 Alexandre Florian Joseph Count Colonna-Walewski and had issue.

On 8th November 1811 [her son] John William Montagu 7th Earl Sandwich was born to [her husband] George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich [aged 38] and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 30]. He was educated at Eton College [Map]. He married (1) 6th September 1838 Mary Paget Countess Sandwich, daughter of Henry William Paget 1st Marquess Anglesey and Charlotte Cadogan Marchioness Anglesey, and had issue (2) 1865 his fifth cousin Blanche Leveson-Gower aka Egerton Countess Sandwich, daughter of Francis Leveson Gower aka Egerton 1st Earl Ellesmere and Harriet Greville Countess Ellesmere.

On 6th June 1814 [her father-in-law] John Montagu 5th Earl Sandwich [aged 70] died. He was buried at All Saints Church, Barnwell [Map]. His son [her husband] George [aged 41] succeeded 6th Earl Sandwich. Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 33] by marriage Countess Sandwich.

On 21st May 1818 [her husband] George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich [aged 45] died. He was buried at All Saints Church, Barnwell [Map]. His son John [aged 6] succeeded 7th Earl Sandwich.

On 12th April 1823 [her son-in-law] Bingham Baring 2nd Baron Ashburton [aged 23] and Harriet Mary Montagu Baroness Ashburton [aged 17] were married. She the daughter of George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 42].

On 27th April 1824 [her step-father] William Kerr 6th Marquess Lothian [aged 60] died at Richmond, Surrey [Map]. His son [her half-brother] John [aged 30] succeeded 7th Marquess Lothian, 10th Earl Lothian, 8th Earl Lothian.

In 1831 [her half-brother] John Kerr 7th Marquess Lothian [aged 36] and [her sister-in-law] Cecil Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Lothian [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Marchioness Lothian. She the daughter of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 2nd Earl Talbot [aged 53] and Frances Thomasina Lambart Countess Talbot. He the son of [her step-father] William Kerr 6th Marquess Lothian and [her mother] Harriet Hobart Viscountess Belmore.

On 1st December 1831 [her son-in-law] Alexandre Florian Joseph Count Colonna-Walewski [aged 21] and Catherine Caroline Montagu Countess Colonna-Walewski [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 50].

On 30th April 1834 [her daughter] Catherine Caroline Montagu Countess Colonna-Walewski [aged 25] died. She was buried at All Saints Church, Barnwell [Map]

On 6th September 1838 John William Montagu 7th Earl Sandwich [aged 26] and Mary Paget Countess Sandwich [aged 26] were married. She by marriage Countess Sandwich. She the daughter of Henry William Paget 1st Marquess Anglesey [aged 70] and Charlotte Cadogan Marchioness Anglesey [aged 57]. He the son of George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 57].

On 18th April 1841 [her half-brother] Somerset Lowry-Corry 2nd Earl Belmore [aged 66] died at Leamington Spa, Warwickshire [Map]. His son [her nephew] Armar [aged 39] succeeded 3rd Earl Belmore in the County of Fermanagh, Viscount Belmore of Fermanagh and Baron Belmore of Castle Coole in the County of Fermanagh. Emily Louise Shepherd Countess Belmore [aged 26] by marriage Countess Belmore in the County of Fermanagh.

On 14th November 1841 [her half-brother] John Kerr 7th Marquess Lothian [aged 47] died at Blickling Hall, Norfolk [Map]. His son [her nephew] William [aged 9] succeeded 8th Marquess Lothian, 11th Earl Lothian, 9th Earl Lothian. He inherited the Blickling, Norfolk estate and made significant changes.

On 4th May 1857 [her daughter] Harriet Mary Montagu Baroness Ashburton [aged 51] died.

On 19th April 1862 Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich [aged 81] died. She was buried at All Saints Church, Barnwell [Map].
