In 1738 [her brother-in-law] Charles III King Spain [aged 21] and Maria Amalia of Saxony Queen Consort Spain [aged 13] were married. He the son of [her father-in-law] Philippe V King Spain [aged 54] and Elisabeth Farnese Queen Consort Spain [aged 45]. They were fourth cousins. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland.

On 31st July 1750 [her father] John V King Portugal [aged 60] died. His son [her brother] Joseph [aged 36] succeeded King Portugal.
On 27th August 1758 Barbara Queen Consort Spain [aged 46] died.
On 10th August 1759 [her former husband] Ferdinand VI King Spain [aged 45] died without issue. His half brother [her former brother-in-law] Charles [aged 43] succeeded King Spain.
