In 1736 Henry Grey 4th Earl Stamford [aged 20] and Mary Booth Countess Stamford [aged 32] were married. She the daughter of George Booth 2nd Earl Warrington [aged 60] and Mary Oldbury Countess Warrington [aged 54]. He the son of Henry Grey 3rd Earl Stamford [aged 50] and Dorothy Wright Countess Stamford [aged 51]. They were second cousin once removed.

On 1st October 1737 [her son] George Grey 5th Earl Stamford 1st Earl Warrington was born to [her husband] Henry Grey 4th Earl Stamford [aged 22] and Mary Booth Countess Stamford [aged 33]. He married 28th May 1763 Henrietta Bentinck Countess Stamford and Warrington, daughter of William Bentinck 2nd Duke Portland and Margaret Cavendish Harley 2nd Duchess Portland, and had issue.

On 16th November 1739 [her father-in-law] Henry Grey 3rd Earl Stamford [aged 54] died. His succeeded son [her husband] Henry [aged 24] succeeded 4th Earl Stamford, 5th Baron Grey of Groby. Mary Booth Countess Stamford [aged 35] by marriage Countess Stamford.

Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans

Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.

On 15th August 1740 [her son] Booth Grey was born to [her husband] Henry Grey 4th Earl Stamford [aged 25] and Mary Booth Countess Stamford [aged 36]. He married before 1783 Elizabeth Mainwaring and had issue.

In 1743 [her son] John Grey was born to [her husband] Henry Grey 4th Earl Stamford [aged 27] and Mary Booth Countess Stamford [aged 39]. He married Susanna Leycester and had issue.

On 2nd August 1758 [her father] George Booth 2nd Earl Warrington [aged 83] died. Earl Warrington extinct. His succeeded first cousin Nathaniel Booth 4th Baron Delamer [aged 49] succeeded 4th Baron Delamer, 5th Baronet Booth of Dunham Massey.

On 28th May 1763 George Grey 5th Earl Stamford 1st Earl Warrington [aged 25] and Henrietta Bentinck Countess Stamford and Warrington [aged 26] were married. Henrietta Bentinck Countess Stamford and Warrington by marriage Countess Stamford. She the daughter of William Bentinck 2nd Duke Portland and Margaret Cavendish Harley 2nd Duchess Portland [aged 48]. He the son of Henry Grey 4th Earl Stamford [aged 47] and Mary Booth Countess Stamford [aged 59].

On 30th May 1768 [her husband] Henry Grey 4th Earl Stamford [aged 52] died at Enville Hall, Staffordshire. His succeeded son George [aged 30] succeeded 5th Earl Stamford, 6th Baron Grey of Groby.

On 10th December 1772 Mary Booth Countess Stamford [aged 68] died.
