On 21st August 1619 John Borlase 1st Baronet was born to William Borlase [aged 30] and Jane Popham at Littlecote House.

In or before 1628 [his step-father] Thomas Luttrell [aged 44] and [his mother] Jane Popham were married.

On 15th December 1630 [his father] William Borlase [aged 41] died.

On 30th April 1635 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 15] matriculated Magdalen College, Oxford University.

On 4th December 1637 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 18] and Alice Bankes Lady Borlase were married at St Giles' in the Fields Church [Map]. His brother William Borlase [aged 17] married her sister Joanna Bankes.

In April 1640 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 20] was elected MP Great Marlow in the Short Parliament.

In November 1640 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 21] was elected MP Great Marlow in the Long Parliament but the election was subequently declared void.

In 1641 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 21] was elected MP Corfe Castle, Dorset.

In 1642 [his son] John Borlase 2nd Baronet was born to John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 22] and [his wife] Alice Bankes Lady Borlase at Bockmer End, Buckinghamshire.

On 4th May 1642 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 22] was created 1st Baronet Borlase of Bockmer in Buckinghamshire. [his wife] Alice Bankes Lady Borlase by marriage Lady Borlase of Bockmer in Buckinghamshire.

Chronicle of a Bourgeois of Valenciennes

Before 1660 William Borlase [aged 39] and Joanna Bankes were married. His brother John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 40] married her sister Alice Bankes Lady Borlase.

In 1661 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 41] was elected MP Wycombe which seat he held until his death in 1689.

In 1668 [his mother] Jane Popham died.

On 8th August 1672 John Borlase 1st Baronet [aged 52] died. His son John [aged 30] succeeded 2nd Baronet Borlase of Bockmer in Buckinghamshire
