Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

On 23rd October 1925 [his uncle] Anthony Henley 5th Baron Henley 3rd Baron Northington [aged 67] died. His half brother [his father] Francis [aged 48] succeeded 6th Baron Henley, 4th Baron Northington of Watford in Northamptonshire. [his mother] Dorothy Howard Baroness Henley and Northington by marriage Baroness Henley, Baroness Northington of Watford in Northamptonshire.
On 19th November 1943 Michael Henley aka Eden 7th Baron Henley 5th Baron Northington [aged 29] and Elizabeth Hobhouse [aged 22] were married.
On 13th September 1944 [his daughter] Victoria Catherine Elizabeth Eden was born to Michael Henley aka Eden 7th Baron Henley 5th Baron Northington [aged 30] and [his wife] Elizabeth Hobhouse [aged 23]. She married 20th November 1965 her fifth cousin John Hedworth Jolliffe, son of William Jolliffe 4th Baron Hylton and Perdita.
In 1947 Michael Henley aka Eden 7th Baron Henley 5th Baron Northington [aged 32] and Elizabeth Hobhouse [aged 25] were divorced.
On 31st August 1949 Michael Henley aka Eden 7th Baron Henley 5th Baron Northington [aged 35] and Nancy Mary Walton Baroness Henley and Northington [aged 21] were married.
On 22nd November 1953 [his son] Oliver Eden 8th Baron Henley 6th Baron Northington was born to Michael Henley aka Eden 7th Baron Henley 5th Baron Northington [aged 39] and [his wife] Nancy Mary Walton Baroness Henley and Northington [aged 25].
On 17th November 1957 [his daughter] Rose Griselda Eden was born to Michael Henley aka Eden 7th Baron Henley 5th Baron Northington [aged 43] and [his wife] Nancy Mary Walton Baroness Henley and Northington [aged 29]. She married (1) 1984 Christopher James Bellew, son of James Bellew 7th Baron Bellew.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. In 1995 [his former wife] Elizabeth Hobhouse [aged 73] died.
On 5th January 2022 [his former wife] Nancy Mary Walton Baroness Henley and Northington [aged 94] died.
