On 9th December 1815 [his father] Lawrence Palk 3rd Baronet [aged 22] and [his mother] Anna Eleanora Wrey Lady Palk [aged 25] were married. She by marriage Lady Palk of Haldon House in Devon. They were first cousins.
On 5th January 1818 Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon was born to Lawrence Palk 3rd Baronet [aged 24] and Anna Eleanora Wrey Lady Palk [aged 28]. Coefficient of inbreeding 6.25%.
On 20th June 1818 [his grandfather] Lawrence Palk 2nd Baronet [aged 52] died. His son [his father] Lawrence [aged 25] succeeded 3rd Baronet Palk of Haldon House in Devon.
On 15th May 1845 Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 27] and Maria Harriett Hesketh Baroness Haldon were married. They had four sons and two daughters.
On 25th January 1846 [his mother] Anna Eleanora Wrey Lady Palk [aged 56] died.
On 6th September 1846 [his son] Lawrence Hesketh Palk 2nd Baron Haldon was born to Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 28] and [his wife] Maria Harriett Hesketh Baroness Haldon. He married 7th October 1868 Constance Mary Barrington Baroness Haldon, daughter of George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington, and had issue.
In 1854 [his son] Edward Arthur Palk 5th Baron Haldon was born to Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 35] and [his wife] Maria Harriett Hesketh Baroness Haldon. He married 18th July 1883 his second cousin once removed Charlotte Frances Shelley, daughter of Frederick Shelley 8th Baronet.
In 1854 Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 35] was elected MP South Devon which seat he held until 1868.
On 16th May 1860 [his father] Lawrence Palk 3rd Baronet [aged 67] died. His son Lawrence [aged 42] succeeded 4th Baronet Palk of Haldon House in Devon.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. On 2nd September 1863 Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 45] was appointed commander of the 1st Administrative Brigade, Devonshire Artillery Volunteers. He was appointed Honourary Colonel in 1868.
In or after 1868 Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 49] was elected MP East Devon which seat he held until 1880.
On 7th October 1868 [his son] Lawrence Hesketh Palk 2nd Baron Haldon [aged 22] and [his daughter-in-law] Constance Mary Barrington Baroness Haldon [aged 21] were married.
On 29th May 1880 Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 62] was created 1st Baron Haldon of Haldon in Devon. [his wife] Maria Harriett Hesketh Baroness Haldon by marriage Baroness Haldon of Haldon in Devon.
On 23rd March 1883 Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon [aged 65] died. His son Lawrence [aged 36] succeeded 2nd Baron Haldon of Haldon in Devon, 5th Baronet Palk of Haldon House in Devon. Constance Mary Barrington Baroness Haldon [aged 36] by marriage Baroness Haldon of Haldon in Devon.
