On 14th February 1824 George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington was born to William Keppel Barrington 6th Viscount Barrington [aged 30] and Jane Elizabeth Liddell Viscountess Barrington [aged 19] in Lower Brooke Street Brook Street. He a great x 4 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 4th March 1829 [his grandfather] George Barrington 5th Viscount Barrington [aged 67] died. His son [his father] William [aged 35] succeeded 6th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass in County Down. [his mother] Jane Elizabeth Liddell Viscountess Barrington [aged 24] by marriage Viscountess Barrington of Ardglass in County Down.

On 3rd July 1845 [his brother] Percy Barrington 8th Viscount Barrington [aged 20] and [his sister-in-law] Louisa Higgins were married.

On 19th February 1846 George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington [aged 22] and Isabel Elizabeth Morritt Viscountess Barrington [aged 19] were married.

On 16th January 1847 [his daughter] Constance Mary Barrington Baroness Haldon was born to George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington [aged 22]. She married 7th October 1868 Lawrence Hesketh Palk 2nd Baron Haldon, son of Lawrence Palk 1st Baron Haldon and Maria Harriett Hesketh Baroness Haldon, and had issue.

On 16th July 1848 [his daughter] Evelyn Laura Barrington Countess Craven was born to George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington [aged 24]. She married 2nd January 1867 her fifth cousin George Grimston Craven 3rd Earl Craven, son of William Craven 2nd Earl Craven and Emily Mary Grimston Countess Craven.

After 16th July 1848 [his daughter] Florence Isabel Barrington was born to George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington [aged 24].

On 30th April 1850 [his brother-in-law] Thomas Lyon Bowes 12th Earl Strathmore and Kinghorne [aged 27] and [his sister] Charlotte Maria Barrington Countess of Strathmore [aged 24] were married. She by marriage Countess Strathmore and Kinghorne. They were third cousins. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 3rd November 1854 [his sister] Charlotte Maria Barrington Countess of Strathmore [aged 28] died.

On 2nd January 1867 [his son-in-law] George Grimston Craven 3rd Earl Craven [aged 25] and [his daughter] Evelyn Laura Barrington Countess Craven [aged 18] were married. She by marriage Countess Craven in Yorkshire. He the son of William Craven 2nd Earl Craven and Emily Mary Grimston Countess Craven [aged 50]. They were fifth cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

In 1868 [his brother-in-law] James Charles Agar 3rd Earl Normanton [aged 49] and [his sister] Caroline Susan Augusta Barrington Countess Normanton [aged 33] were married. He the son of Welbore Ellis Agar 2nd Earl Normanton [aged 90] and Diana Herbert Countess Normanton. They were half fifth cousins. He a great x 4 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 7th October 1868 [his son-in-law] Lawrence Hesketh Palk 2nd Baron Haldon [aged 22] and [his daughter] Constance Mary Barrington Baroness Haldon [aged 21] were married.

On 17th April 1880 George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington [aged 56] was created 1st Baron Shute of Beckett in Berkshire with a special remainder, failing issue male, to his brother Percy Barrington 8th Viscount Barrington [aged 54] and the heirs male of his body who did inherit when George Barrington 7th Viscount Barrington without male issue.

On 22nd March 1883 [his mother] Jane Elizabeth Liddell Viscountess Barrington [aged 78] died.
