Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough 1742-1821

Before 1st July 1725 [her father] Francis Blake Delaval [aged 32] and [her mother] Rhoda Apreece were married.

In 1742 Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough was born to Francis Blake Delaval [aged 49] and Rhoda Apreece.

On 23rd April 1749 [her grandmother] Sarah Hussey [aged 77] died. Her daughter [her mother] Rhoda Apreece inherited Doddington Hall [Map].

Edward Hussey Delaval: In 1729 he was born to Francis Blake Delaval and Rhoda Apreece. On 17th May 1808 John Delaval 1st Baron Delaval died without surviving male issue. Baron Delaval of Redford in County Wicklow and Baron Delaval of Seaton Delaval in Northumberland extinct. He was buried at Chapel of St Paul, Westminster Abbey [Map]. Edward Hussey Delaval inherited Doddington Hall [Map]. On 14th August 1814 Edward Hussey Delaval died. Sarah Delaval inherited Doddington Hall [Map].

Anne Hussey Delaval: Around 1743 she was born to Francis Blake Delaval and Rhoda Apreece. On 6th October 1759 William Stanhope and she were married. His third wife. The difference in their ages was 41 years. He the son of Philip Stanhope 3rd Earl Chesterfield and Elizabeth Savile.

On 9th December 1752 [her father] Francis Blake Delaval [aged 59] died after falling down steps at his home Seaton Delaval Hall, Northumberland [Map].

In 1753 [her future husband] John Savile 1st Earl Mexborough [aged 33] was created 1st Baron Pollington of Longford in the County of Longford.

In or before 1755 [her brother] John Delaval 1st Baron Delaval [aged 26] and [her sister-in-law] Susanna Robinson Baroness Delaval [aged 24] were married. They were first cousins.

In 1758 [her mother] Rhoda Apreece died. [her brother] John Delaval 1st Baron Delaval [aged 29] inherited Doddington Hall [Map].

In 1760 John Savile 1st Earl Mexborough [aged 40] and Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough [aged 18] were married. She by marriage Baroness Pollington of Longford in the County of Longford. The difference in their ages was 22 years.

On 8th April 1761 [her son] John Savile 2nd Earl Mexborough was born to [her husband] John Savile 1st Earl Mexborough [aged 41] and Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough [aged 19]. He married 1782 Elizabeth Stephenson Countess Mexborough and had issue.

On 17th September 1763 [her son] Henry Savile was born to [her husband] John Savile 1st Earl Mexborough [aged 43] and Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough [aged 21].

In February 1766 [her husband] John Savile 1st Earl Mexborough [aged 46] was created 1st Earl Mexborough of Lifford in County Donegal. Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough [aged 24] by marriage Countess Mexborough of Lifford in County Donegal.

On 7th August 1771 Francis Blake Delaval [aged 44] died. He left four illegitimate children but no legitimate ones and was succeeded by his younger brother John Delaval 1st Baron Delaval [aged 43].

On 27th February 1778 [her husband] John Savile 1st Earl Mexborough [aged 58] died. His son John [aged 16] succeeded 2nd Earl Mexborough of Lifford in County Donegal.

In 1782 John Savile 2nd Earl Mexborough [aged 20] and Elizabeth Stephenson Countess Mexborough [aged 20] were married. She by marriage Countess Mexborough of Lifford in County Donegal. He the son of John Savile 1st Earl Mexborough and Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough [aged 40].

On 17th May 1808 [her brother] John Delaval 1st Baron Delaval [aged 80] died without surviving male issue. Baron Delaval of Redford in County Wicklow and Baron Delaval of Seaton Delaval in Northumberland extinct. He was buried at Chapel of St Paul, Westminster Abbey [Map]. Edward Hussey Delaval [aged 79] inherited Doddington Hall [Map].

On 9th August 1821 Sarah Delaval Countess Mexborough [aged 79] died.
