Around 1497 William Musgrave was born to Edward Musgrave of Hartley and Edenhall [aged 36] and Jane Ward at Edenhall, Cumberland.
Before 1524 William Musgrave [aged 26] and Elizabeth Curwen were married.
On 20th June 1528 [his brother-in-law] John Neville 3rd Baron Latimer [aged 34] and [his half-sister] Elizabeth Musgrave Baroness Latimer Snape [aged 30] were married. They were third cousin once removed. He a great x 4 grandson of King Edward III of England.
On 23rd December 1530 Richard Neville 2nd Baron Latimer of Snape [aged 62] died. He was buried at St Michaels Church, Well. His son [his brother-in-law] John [aged 37] succeeded 3rd Baron Latimer of Snape. [his half-sister] Elizabeth Musgrave Baroness Latimer Snape [aged 32] by marriage Baroness Latimer of Snape.
In 1532 William Musgrave [aged 35] was appointed High Sheriff of Cumberland.
Before 1533 [his half-sister] Elizabeth Musgrave Baroness Latimer Snape [aged 34] died.
Before January 1533 Thomas tamworth and [his future wife] Elizabeth Denkaring were married.
After January 1533 William Musgrave [aged 36] and Elizabeth Denkaring were married.
Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans
Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. His text also includes Loveday, Blore Heath, Northampton, the Act of Accord, Wakefield, and Towton, and ends with the Coronation of King Edward IV. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.

On 18th October 1544 William Musgrave [aged 47] died at Edenhall, Cumberland.
