On 11th September 1525 John George Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg was born to Joachim Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 20].
On 15th February 1545 John George Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 19] and Princess Sophie of Legnica [aged 20] were married.
On 27th January 1546 [his son] Joachim Frederick Hohenzollern was born to John George Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 20] and [his wife] Princess Sophie of Legnica [aged 21].
On 6th February 1546 [his wife] Princess Sophie of Legnica [aged 21] died.
On 12th February 1548 John George Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 22] and Sabina of Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 18] were married. They were second cousin once removed.

On 6th June 1568 [his daughter] Sophie of Brandenburg was born to John George Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 42] and [his wife] Sabina of Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 39]. She married 25th April 1582 her third cousin Christian Wettin I Elector Saxony, son of Augustus Wettin Elector of Saxony and Anna Oldenburg, and had issue.
On 3rd January 1571 [his father] Joachim Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 65] died.
On 2nd November 1575 [his wife] Sabina of Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 46] died.
Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough
A canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: 'In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed.'

On 25th April 1582 [his son-in-law] Christian Wettin I Elector Saxony [aged 21] and [his daughter] Sophie of Brandenburg [aged 13] were married. He the son of Augustus Wettin Elector of Saxony [aged 55] and Anna Oldenburg [aged 49]. They were third cousins.
On 22nd June 1583 [his son] Joachim Ernst Hohenzollern was born to John George Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 57] and [his wife] Elisabeth of Anhalt-Zerbst [aged 19].
On 8th January 1598 John George Hohenzollern Margrave of Brandenburg [aged 72] died.
On 8th November 1607 [his former wife] Elisabeth of Anhalt-Zerbst [aged 44] died.
