In 1214 John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 44] and Stephanie Lambron were married. He the son of Erard Brienne II Count Brienne and Agnès Montfaucon Countess Brienne.

In 1220 [his son] John Brienne died.

In 1220 [his son] John Brienne was born to John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 50] and [his wife] Stephanie Lambron. He died aged less than one years old.

In 1224 [his daughter] Marie Brienne was born to John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 54]. She married Baldwin Courtenay and had issue.

On 9th November 1225 [his son-in-law] Frederick I King Jerusalem II Holy Roman Emperor [aged 30] and Isabella Brienne II Queen Jerusalem [aged 13] were married. He by marriage John I King Jerusalem. She the daughter of John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 55] and Maria the Marquise Unknown. He the son of Henry Hohenstaufen VI Holy Roman Emperor.

In 1227 [his son] Louis Brienne Viscount Beaumont was born to John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 57] and Beregaria Ivrea [aged 23] at Acre [Map]. He a great x 2 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. He married in or before 1279 his half third cousin twice removed Agnes Beaumont Sarthe and had issue.

Around 1228 [his son] Alphonse Brienne Count of Eu was born to John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 58] and Beregaria Ivrea [aged 24]. He a great x 2 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. He married his fourth cousin once removed Marie Lusignan Countess Eu, daughter of Raoul Lusignan II Count of Eu and Yolande Capet Countess Eu, and had issue.

Around 1232 [his son] John Beaumont was born to John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 62] and Beregaria Ivrea [aged 28]. He a great x 2 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. He married 1251 Jeanne Chateaudun, daughter of Geoffrey Chateaudun VI Viscount Châteaudun and Clemence Roches Countess Blois, and had issue.

On 27th March 1237 John de Brienne I King Jerusalem [aged 67] died.

Chronica Majora by Matthew Paris. 27th March 1237. In this year was taken from amongst us the renowned John de Brienne [aged 67], of immortal memory, formerly king of Jerusalem, and who had almost attained the imperial sovereignty of the Greeks; who would have closed a happy and peaceful life in sunshine, if he had not brought on himself the enmity of the great Frederick, the emperor of the Germans. Between winter and spring of this year, too, brother Jordan, prior of the order of Preachers, a man of distinguished sanctity and a renowned preacher, was drowned in a storm, whilst sailing along the coast of the southern barbarians, for the purpose of gaining them to God by his preaching. His body was brought to land by some of those shipwrecked, whom chance had snatched from death, although with much labour and danger, and consigned to the tomb in an honourable and becoming manner. As they were burying his holy body, they smelled a remarkable fragrance proceeding from his clothes, as well as from his person, the sweetness of which continued to perfume their hands for a long time.

About this same time was canonized and enrolled in the list of saints, St. Dominic, a brother of the order of Preachers.
