On 22nd March 1840 John Dalrymple 7th Earl of Stair [aged 55] died without issue. His third cousin once removed John [aged 68] succeeded 8th Earl of Stair.

On 22nd October 1923 Algernon St Maur 15th Duke of Somerset [aged 77] died at Maiden Bradley, Wiltshire. He was buried at Brimble Hill Clump, Bradley House. In 1981 Reginald George de Vere Capell 9th Earl of Essex [aged 75] died. His third cousin once removed Robert [aged 60] succeeded 10th Earl Essex, 11th Baron Capell Hadham.

On 5th January 1993 Major Evelyn Delves Broughton 12th Baronet [aged 77] died. His third cousin once removed David [aged 50] succeeded 13th Baronet Broughton of Broughton in Staffordshire. It isn't clear whether he ever claimed the title.

On 5th September 2022 Merlin Hanbury-Tracy 7th Baron Sudeley [aged 83] died. His third cousin once removed Nicholas [aged 63] succeeded 8th Baron Sudeley of Toddington in Gloucestershire.
