On 11th January 1859 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston was born to Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon 4th Baron Scarsdale [aged 27] and Blanche Pocklington Senhouse Baroness Scarsdale [aged 21].

On 4th April 1875 [his mother] Blanche Pocklington Senhouse Baroness Scarsdale [aged 37] died.

On 22nd April 1895 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 36] and Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston [aged 25] were married.

On 20th January 1896 [his daughter] Mary Irene Curzon 2nd Baroness Ravensdale was born to George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 37] and [his wife] Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston [aged 26].

On 23rd August 1898 [his daughter] Cynthia Blanche Curzon Lady Ancoats was born to George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 39] and [his wife] Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston [aged 28]. She married 11th May 1920 Oswald Mosley 6th Baronet, son of Oswald Mosley 5th Baronet and Katharine Maud Edwards-Heathcote, and had issue.

On 18th March 1900 General William Lockhart [aged 58] died of malaria. His funeral occurred the following day and the service was taken by James Welldon the Bishop of Calcutta, and former headmaster of Harrow School. Lockhart's good friend and Viceroy Lord Curzon [aged 41] attended.

On 20th March 1904 [his daughter] Alexandra Naldera Curzon was born to George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 45] and [his wife] Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston [aged 34]. Naldera baing the place in India where she was conceived. She married (1) 1925 Major Edward Dudley Metcalfe.

On 18th July 1906 [his wife] Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston [aged 36] died at 1 Carlton Terrace, St James'.

The History of William Marshal, Earl of Chepstow and Pembroke, Regent of England. Book 1 of 2, Lines 1-10152.

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

On 2nd November 1911 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 52] was created 1st Earl Curzon of Kedleston, 1st Viscount Scarsdale of Scarsdale in Derbyshire, 1st Baron Ravensdale of Ravensdale in Derbyshire. The Viscountcy was created with remainder in default of heirs male to the heirs male of his father. The Barony was created with remainder in default of heirs male to his daughters. In 1916 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 56] was appointed 854th Knight of the Garter by King George V of the United Kingdom [aged 50].

On 23rd March 1916 [his father] Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon 4th Baron Scarsdale [aged 84] died. His son George [aged 57] succeeded 5th Baron Scarsdale, 9th Baronet Curzon of Kedleston in Derbyshire, 9th Baronet Curzon of Nova Scotia.

On 2nd January 1917 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 57] and Grace Elvina Hinds Marchioness Curzon Kedleston [aged 31] were married. She by marriage Baroness Ravensdale of Ravensdale in Derbyshire, Baroness Scarsdale. The difference in their ages was 26 years.

On 11th May 1920 [his son-in-law] Oswald Mosley 6th Baronet [aged 23] and Cynthia Blanche Curzon Lady Ancoats [aged 21] were married. Following their marriage he is alledged to have had affairs with his wife's younger sister Alexandra Naldera Curzon [aged 16] and his wife's step-mother Grace Elvina Hinds Marchioness Curzon Kedleston [aged 34]. She the daughter of George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 61] and Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston.

Cynthia Blanche Curzon Lady Ancoats: On 23rd August 1898 she was born to George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston and Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston. On 16th May 1933 Cynthia Blanche Curzon Lady Ancoats died.

Alexandra Naldera Curzon: On 20th March 1904 she was born to George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston and Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston. Naldera baing the place in India where she was conceived. In 1925 Major Edward Dudley Metcalfe and she were married. She the daughter of George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston and Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston. In 1955 Major Edward Dudley Metcalfe and Alexandra Naldera Curzon were divorced. On 7th August 1995 Alexandra Naldera Curzon died. She was buried at All Saints Church, Kedleston [Map].

On 28th June 1921 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 62] was created 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston. [his wife] Grace Elvina Hinds Marchioness Curzon Kedleston [aged 36] by marriage Marchioness Curzon of Kedleston.

In 1925 [his son-in-law] Major Edward Dudley Metcalfe [aged 37] and Alexandra Naldera Curzon [aged 20] were married. She the daughter of George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston [aged 65] and Mary Victoria Leiter Baroness Curzon Kedleston.

The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy

The Gesta Normannorum Ducum [The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy] is a landmark medieval chronicle tracing the rise and fall of the Norman dynasty from its early roots through the pivotal events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England. His nephew Richard [aged 26] succeeded 2nd Viscount Scarsdale of Scarsdale in Derbyshire, 6th Baron Scarsdale, 10th Baronet Curzon of Kedleston in Derbyshire, 10th Baronet Curzon of Nova Scotia. His daughter Mary [aged 29] succeeded 2nd Baroness Ravensdale of Ravensdale in Derbyshire.
