Before 22nd July 1552 [her father] Anthony Browne 1st Viscount Montagu [aged 23] and [her mother] Jane Radclyffe were married. She the daughter of [her grandfather] Robert Radclyffe 1st Earl of Sussex and [her grandmother] Margaret Stanley Countess Sussex. They were third cousin once removed. He a great x 5 grandson of King Edward III of England.

On 22nd July 1552 twins [her brother] Anthony Browne and Mary Browne Countess Southampton were born to Anthony Browne 1st Viscount Montagu [aged 23] and Jane Radclyffe at Cowdray House [Map]. Their mother died in childbirth although Henry Machen's diary reports her death in 1553.

Before 10th December 1553 [her father] Anthony Browne 1st Viscount Montagu [aged 25] and [her step-mother] Magdalen Dacre Viscountess Montague [aged 15] were married. They were third cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Edward III of England. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

In 1554 [her future husband] Thomas Heneage [aged 22] and Anne Poyntz [aged 20] were married.

On 2nd September 1554 [her father] Anthony Browne 1st Viscount Montagu [aged 25] was created 1st Viscount Montagu. [her step-mother] Magdalen Dacre Viscountess Montague [aged 16] by marriage Viscountess Montagu. In or before 1573 [her brother-in-law] Robert Dormer 1st Baron Dormer [aged 21] and [her half-sister] Elizabeth Browne Baroness Dormer were married.

Before 6th October 1573 Henry Wriothesley 2nd Earl of Southampton [aged 28] and Mary Browne Countess Southampton [aged 21] were married. She by marriage Countess of Southampton. He the son of Thomas Wriothesley 1st Earl of Southampton and Jane Cheney Countess Southampton [aged 64].

On 6th October 1573 [her son] Henry Wriothesley 3rd Earl of Southampton was born to [her husband] Henry Wriothesley 2nd Earl of Southampton [aged 28] and Mary Browne Countess Southampton [aged 21] at Cowdray House [Map]. He married 30th August 1598 his third cousin once removed Elizabeth Vernon Countess Southampton and had issue.

On 4th October 1581 [her husband] Henry Wriothesley 2nd Earl of Southampton [aged 36] died. His son Henry [aged 7] succeeded 3rd Earl of Southampton. His wardship was sold by the Queen to her kinsman, Charles, Lord Howard of Effingham [aged 45], for £1000. Howard then transferred his wardship to William Cecil 1st Baron Burghley [aged 61].

On 18th June 1585 [her son-in-law] Thomas Arundell 1st Baron Arundel [aged 25] and Mary Wriothesley Baroness Arundel Wardour were married. She the daughter of Henry Wriothesley 2nd Earl of Southampton and Mary Browne Countess Southampton [aged 32]. They were half fourth cousin once removed.

On 19th October 1592 [her father] Anthony Browne 1st Viscount Montagu [aged 63] died. His grandson Anthony [aged 18] succeeded 2nd Viscount Montagu.

On 2nd May 1594 Thomas Heneage [aged 62] and Mary Browne Countess Southampton [aged 41] were married. Her second husband. The difference in their ages was 20 years.

On 17th October 1595 [her husband] Thomas Heneage [aged 63] died. He was buried at St Paul's Cathedral [Map].

On 30th August 1598 Henry Wriothesley 3rd Earl of Southampton [aged 24] and Elizabeth Vernon Countess Southampton [aged 26] were married. She by marriage Countess of Southampton. He the son of Henry Wriothesley 2nd Earl of Southampton and Mary Browne Countess Southampton [aged 46]. They were third cousin once removed.

Between 5th November 1598 and 31st January 1599 William Hervey 1st Baron Hervey [aged 33] and Mary Browne Countess Southampton [aged 46] were married. Her third husband.

Before 5th February 1607 Mary Browne Countess Southampton [aged 54] died.

On 5th February 1608 [her former husband] William Hervey 1st Baron Hervey [aged 43] and Cordell Annesley were married.

In 1642 [her former husband] William Hervey 1st Baron Hervey [aged 77] died. Baron Hervey of Kidbrooke in Kent, Baron Hervey of Rosse in County Wexford and Baronet Hervey of St Martin in the Fields extinct.

[her daughter] Mary Wriothesley Baroness Arundel Wardour was born to Henry Wriothesley 2nd Earl of Southampton and Mary Browne Countess Southampton. She married 18th June 1585 her half fourth cousin once removed Thomas Arundell 1st Baron Arundel and had issue.
