George Pratt 2nd Marquess Camden 1799-1866

In 1785 [his father] John Jeffreys Pratt 1st Marquess Camden [aged 26] and [his mother] Frances Molesworth Marchioness Camden [aged 29] were married. He the son of [his grandfather] Charles Pratt 1st Earl Camden [aged 71] and [his grandmother] Elizabeth Jeffreys.

On 2nd May 1799 George Pratt 2nd Marquess Camden was born to John Jeffreys Pratt 1st Marquess Camden [aged 40] and Frances Molesworth Marchioness Camden [aged 43].

In 1812 [his father] John Jeffreys Pratt 1st Marquess Camden [aged 53] was created 1st Marquess Camden, 1st Earl Brecknock. [his mother] Frances Molesworth Marchioness Camden [aged 56] by marriage Marchioness Camden.

On 7th July 1829 [his mother] Frances Molesworth Marchioness Camden [aged 73] died at Bayham Abbey, Tunbridge Wells [Map].

On 27th August 1835 George Pratt 2nd Marquess Camden [aged 36] and Harriet Murray Marchioness Camden [aged 22] were married. She the daughter of Bishop George Murray [aged 51] and Sarah Hay-Drummond [aged 47]. He the son of John Jeffreys Pratt 1st Marquess Camden [aged 76] and Frances Molesworth Marchioness Camden.

On 30th June 1840 [his son] John Charles Pratt 3rd Marquess Camden was born to George Pratt 2nd Marquess Camden [aged 41] and [his wife] Harriet Murray Marchioness Camden [aged 27] at Belgrave Square, Belgravia. He married after 6th August 1866 Clementina Augusta Spencer-Churchill Countess Camden, daughter of George Spencer-Churchill 6th Duke of Marlborough and Charlotte Augusta Flower Duchess of Marlborough, and had issue.

On 8th October 1840 [his father] John Jeffreys Pratt 1st Marquess Camden [aged 81] died in Seale, Surrey. His son George [aged 41] succeeded 2nd Marquess Camden, 2nd Earl Brecknock, 3rd Earl Camden, 3rd Viscount Bayham of Bayham Abbey in Kent, 3rd Baron Camden of Camden Place in Kent. [his wife] Harriet Murray Marchioness Camden [aged 27] by marriage Marchioness Camden.

On 22nd December 1854 [his wife] Harriet Murray Marchioness Camden [aged 41] died.

In 1865 George Pratt 2nd Marquess Camden [aged 65] was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Brecknockshire.

On 6th August 1866 George Pratt 2nd Marquess Camden [aged 67] died at his country seat Bayham Abbey, Tunbridge Wells [Map]. His son John [aged 26] succeeded 3rd Marquess Camden, 3rd Earl Brecknock, 4th Earl Camden, 4th Viscount Bayham of Bayham Abbey in Kent, 4th Baron Camden of Camden Place in Kent.
