Before 1771 [his father] Henry Vane 1st Baronet [aged 42] and [his mother] Frances Tempest [aged 29] were married at St Mary-le-Bow Church, Cheapside [Map].

On 25th January 1771 Henry Vane-Tempest 2nd Baronet was born to Henry Vane 1st Baronet [aged 43] and Frances Tempest [aged 30].

On 29th July 1791 Randal William MacDonnell 1st Marquess of Antrim [aged 41] died. Marquess of Antrim 2C extinct. His daughter [his future wife] Anne [aged 13] succeeded 2nd Countess Antrim 2C, 2nd Viscountess Dunluce.

In 1793 Henry Vane-Tempest 2nd Baronet [aged 21] changed his surname to Vane-Tempest to comply with the terms of his maternal uncle's will.

In 1794 Henry Vane-Tempest 2nd Baronet [aged 22] was elected MP Durham which seat he held until 1800.

On 7th June 1794 [his father] Henry Vane 1st Baronet [aged 66] died. His son Henry [aged 23] succeeded 2nd Baronet Vane of Long Newton in County Durham. He was buried at St Mary's Church, Long Newton [Map].

Henry Vane 1st Baronet: In 1728 he was born to George Vane of Long Newton and Ann Machon. Before 1771 Henry Vane 1st Baronet and Frances Tempest were married at St Mary-le-Bow Church, Cheapside [Map]. On 13th July 1782 Henry Vane 1st Baronet was created 1st Baronet Vane of Long Newton in County Durham.

On 19th January 1795 [his mother] Frances Tempest [aged 54] died. She was buried at St Mary's Church, Long Newton [Map].

Frances Tempest: In 1741 she was born to John Tempest of Sherburne Durham and Frances Shuttleworth. Coefficient of inbreeding 3.13%.

On 25th April 1799 Henry Vane-Tempest 2nd Baronet [aged 28] and Anne MacDonnell 2nd Countess of Antrim [aged 21] were married. She the daughter of Randal William MacDonnell 1st Marquess of Antrim.

On 17th January 1800 [his daughter] Frances Vane Tempest Marchioness Londonderry was born to Henry Vane-Tempest 2nd Baronet [aged 28] at St James' Church, Piccadilly. She married 3rd April 1819 Charles William Vane 3rd Marquess Londonderry, son of Robert Stewart 1st Marquess Londonderry and Frances Pratt Marchioness Londonderry, and had issue.

On 1st August 1813 Henry Vane-Tempest 2nd Baronet [aged 42] died of apoplexy. Baronet Vane of Long Newton in County Durham extinct. Memorial and vault at St Mary's Church, Long Newton [Map] sculpted by Richard Westmacott [aged 38].

In 1834 [his former wife] Anne MacDonnell 2nd Countess of Antrim [aged 55] died. Her nephew Hugh [aged 21] succeeded 4th Earl Antrim 2C, 4th Viscount Dunluce.
