On 15th April 1680 [his father] Bryan Stapylton 2nd Baronet [aged 22] and [his mother] Anne Kaye Lady Stapylton were married. She by marriage Lady Stapylton Stapleton of Myton in Yorkshire.

Around 1683 John Stapylton 3rd Baronet was born to Bryan Stapylton 2nd Baronet [aged 25] and Anne Kaye Lady Stapylton.

On 12th June 1702 John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 19] matriculated St Edmund Hall, Oxford University.

In 1705 John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 22] was elected MP Boroughbridge, which his father Bryan Stapylton 2nd Baronet [aged 47] had represented for twelve of the previous fifteen years.

On 10th February 1707 John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 24] and Mary Sandys Lady Stapylton [aged 20] were married at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. They had eight sons and five daughters.

Around 1708 [his son] Miles Stapylton 4th Baronet was born to John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 25] and [his wife] Mary Sandys Lady Stapylton [aged 21]. He married May 1738 Anne Waller.

In 1708 [his father] Bryan Stapylton 2nd Baronet [aged 50] was elected MP Boroughbridge replacing his son John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 25].

Around 1712 [his son] Brian Stapylton 5th Baronet was born to John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 29] and [his wife] Mary Sandys Lady Stapylton [aged 25].

Around 1718 [his son] John Stapylton 6th Baronet was born to John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 35] and [his wife] Mary Sandys Lady Stapylton [aged 31].

The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy

The Gesta Normannorum Ducum [The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy] is a landmark medieval chronicle tracing the rise and fall of the Norman dynasty from its early roots through the pivotal events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England. Originally penned in Latin by the monk William of Jumièges shortly before 1060 and later expanded at the behest of William the Conqueror, the work chronicles the deeds, politics, battles, and leadership of the Norman dukes, especially William’s own claim to the English throne. Later chroniclers such as Orderic Vitalis and Robert of Torigni continued the history, extending the coverage into the 12th century, providing broader context on ducal rule and its impact. Today this classic work remains a foundational source for understanding Norman identity, medieval statesmanship, and the historical forces that reshaped England and Western Europe between 800AD and 1100AD.

Around 1723 [his son] Martin Stapylton 7th Baronet was born to John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 40] and [his wife] Mary Sandys Lady Stapylton [aged 36].

On 23rd November 1729 [his father] Bryan Stapylton 2nd Baronet [aged 72] died. His son John [aged 46] succeeded 3rd Baronet Stapylton Stapleton of Myton in Yorkshire. [his wife] Mary Sandys Lady Stapylton [aged 42] by marriage Lady Stapylton Stapleton of Myton in Yorkshire.

On 24th October 1733 John Stapylton 3rd Baronet [aged 50] died from a fall from a horse on the way to attend a parliamentary adoption meeting at York, where he was to be adopted as the Tory candidate for the county at the impending general election. His son Miles [aged 25] succeeded 4th Baronet Stapylton Stapleton of Myton in Yorkshire.

On 3rd February 1743 [his former wife] Mary Sandys Lady Stapylton [aged 56] died.
